Just read that there was no characters in captain pugwash called master bates, Roger the cabin boy and seaman staines. Strangely this upsets me a little.

Yeah I found this out a few years ago... I was always a bit dubious about master bates I have to say, it always seemed a bit too far.

The Winnebego 'cruise control' one is too. Where the guy sticks the van on cruise, goes to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee...
