That akward swinging club moment when I seen a couple local to me that I recognised , I didn't know wherther to say hello or just ignore or stay out there way , I just tried to avoid them , so that they would be comfortable , but I don't know if my presence spooked them cause they didn't play , has anyone else experienced this and what would you guys have done ? |

Said hello and said glad we have the same inclinations and that we are very discrete. Gets the awkwardness out of the way fast. Far better than skulking in a corner pretending you haven't seen them and they have probably spotted you too. Plus you might get to play with them too. |

Ran into a colleague at cj's. Awkward was an understatement but I grabbed the bull by the horns so to speak and just got on with it. First time is the worst!!! |

It happened to me last time I was in cj's. My old neighbour came in about two min at the back of me.
It was awkward but we were both there for the same thing. As far as I am aware she played and I certainly did.
The week before this happend I was told a brother and sister bumped into each other. I think if that happened to me I'd grab my stuff and leg it lol.

Yep... None of us hid, it was big hugs all round. Then John always said it was you n I told him he was talking rubbish.

We knew a guy the first time we went to CJs. B knew him through work.
When he seen us he panicked and ran out the kitchen nearly putting Caroline on her arse.
When B went to talk to him he kept walking away so we just left it.
B even said he was an OK bloke.
Some people just react differently I suppose. |

Once we joined site I recognised a long time (25 years) friend through his forum posts, we decided to speak to him about site & scene to get some tips/advice from him, would have been certain that we would have bumped into him at cj's or socials anyway, we even dropped him off at cj's last week when we weren't going, certain that i (mr) will deffo be recognised outwith but not concerned about what anyone thinks as we are all interested (mostly) in the same thing. |
