It's not my place to get offended on behalf of others so I'm simply making a comment to get people's views.
I just saw a jacket lying in the gym with the slogan "Christ r*pi*g black metal" emblazoned on the back (obviously with the asterisks filled in) & I thought surely that must be deemed a little OTT. Whether you believe he was real or a fictional character, millions do believe in him. If it said Allah or something instead I think more would be made of it.
I guess I'm just wondering how far "freedom of speech" should go? I personally believe we have a right to express our opinion but we should not go out of our way to be offensive. Any thoughts?

Personally words don't Offend me at all.
It's people's actions that offend me.
A word is a word nothing more nothing less. It's the individual translating the context of the word that deems It offensive or not...
In this case its merely a slogan....
If the gentleman was too be shouting the slogan in some innocent persons face... Then I feel this would be offensive.. |

My ex got targeted for his t-shirt he was wearing once. An upside down cross on an Abandonship raglan. So things do get made of "offensive" slogans.
I suppose the good saying is "just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right".
It seems antagonistic though |

As another poster said words are only words........though your point about if allah was mentioned is spot on. I remember a story about a person in birmingham reporting a racist crime against them they were informed "it cant be racist your white" or the many examples of sexual discrimination. But folk accept it so alls good |

You'd be amazed at the things I get asked to print since running my own printing business, folk want the strangest things on tshirts. Unless it's racist I'll print it, sometimes I do have a giggle at some of the things
But yes done a few designs with the upside down cross n such before ASA started using the upside down cross too
