Excuses for no-shows

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Since being on fab I've had the following excuses given from guys not turning up!

1. Oh sh@te, I totally forgot!

2. My uncle died.

3. My father has been in hospital and spoke for the first time since Christmas.

4. UNLOS

What's been the best excuse you have been given, assuming you have been stood up that is lol

Only once but her excuse was "had to work" the morning of the meet that had been setup for a week.

Not making excuses for her but it was a weird NSA thing which I'm not used too... I like a few uncomplicated strings x

That's just plain ignorant. How very dare them not to compile elaborate stories

This is something I'll never understand. Why on earth anyone lucky enough to actually get to the stage of arranging to meet then doesn't show up is completely beyond me.

I do write a good story though.... but I prefer to tell them in person

I second that bud tge genuine guys like us seem to get lost between the riff raff and seems like we get tared with the same brush without getting a chance

Ah, the phrase that makes me want to punch walls - "they ruin it for the genuine guys".

No, they really, REALLY don't. They actually make the decent ones look better *sighs*

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

I've only had one no show with no excuse .

Socials/parties are a different thing all together with no shows. ..totally pisses me of that people just don't show up while other members are sat at home because one of these no shows didn't have the decency to say they couldn't make it therefore freeing up their place for someone waiting to come along grrrr.

But I'm now getting tougher on this stance and if you add your name then don't show your blacklisted from future parties and socials.

As has been said the good guys alway shine brighter

When we were on before we were let down on more than one occasion, never once did we get an excuse. We only chat to folk that are pic verified and verified through, yet we were let down.

The one that made me have a rye smile was a text I got on the day I supposed to meet a guy . He'd been on a month and we had been chatting away then he texts that he'd been seeing someone a cpl of months in vanilla world and suddenly wanted to give that a go lol . Before he'd been going on about being single lol . Clearly just liked the "idea " of the meet and the chase . But fortunately plenty of honest single guys on here ..on wards and upwards

Totally agree it's these guys that make up all the excuses that spoil it for us genuine guys as females lose trust,3 meets in 3 years ain't a great average for a so called singers site but just have to keep trying

I had to cancel a meet at last minute once as my nieces wee one wasn't well and had to goto her house as she was in a panic, the wee one was ok in a few days, I hate letting people down, if we have arranged a meet I always message the person or people and if no reply, don't go as i tell them if they don't reply to my message then i won't waste my time going xx

Never had to use an excuse for not turning up, and never had one used on me. Have had meets cancelled but never at the last minute.

Worst I heard was when 7 guys had failed to turn up to meet a couple, their loss my gain in that case.

I always turn up for meets. Turned up for one once and the couple had deliberately sent on a bum steer to a fake address, probably a neighbour or something. Total riddy for me! needless to say, they deleted their profile straight away, arseholes!

I can only assume they were watching close by and having a right laugh at my expense, arseholes!
