I, Gordie, just got my laptop which iv wanted for ages (birthday prezzie from Pamela) and im now just gonna sell the desktop pc which is just brand new but now wont use it due to my new toy lol
but this has got me wondering, what do we all prefer, a desktop pc, laptop or notebook?
Pamela loves her wee notebook as its light and easy to travel with while one of my mates swears by his desktop pc, Opinions commence..... |

All have different uses Gordie, we have 4 laptops in the house.......... (2 are for work, 1 mine, 1 Jo's ) we used to have a desktop but takes up too much room. Netbooks are too small for my big fingers, even one of my work laptops I struggle to type with sometimes!
Desktops are good for leaving on all day and streaming music/recording TV etc, especially via wireless speakers but when sitting at a desktop you can feel isolated.

we have two desktops and one laptop
My desktop is running vista media centre which i use to run music through my Xbox on the tv.
we are planning on turning amandas desk top into a server and using smaller computers in the other rooms.....bigger plan in the making there
As steve said everyone has own preferences but depends on what ya wanna do and what your plans are |

Personally I prefer my Desktop but that's because I built it myself from scratch 10 years ago and it has outlived 5 laptops.
As for Fab I tend to use my iPhone and feed of my house wifi |

Desktop is a dinosaur by today's standard - keep it for my inner linux LOL.
Netbook for chatrooms - not that I'm in them much these days.
One X for forums n messages etc
tempted by tablet but not decided |

My desktop may be a dinosaur but it is powerful and fast (and runs Linux) - I have only booted into Windows 3 times this year so far.
Tablets are convenient but not for chatting as the virtual keyboard covers too much of the screen for quality perving |
