It's not cliques, they just don't like you. 
Sorry that's a direct quote I said to a little man who thought the same thing about were we worked.... not the case, he was just an asshat who tried to dominate every conversation.... he would go long rambling rants/stories, by the end nobody had any idea wtf he was on about.
Also a lier.
I know because he covered for my job. afterwards I spent 45 minutes on the phone to my boss giving details of all my work times.  the little twerp had done his job so poorly a complaint letter from a MP had come in!!!!!
