American werewolf in London, particularly the bit in the forest when he's laying on the hospital bed apparently sleeping, then fright time

One of the paranormal activities. I just about wet myself at a moment where there was a hell of a noise.

It was the simplest of shockers & an extra, last minute scene shot in a pool by Spielberg. When I saw this in the cinema the man sat in front of me was smoking a pipe (yes remember those days?)

He bit clean through it & leaped out of his seat when that head popped out from the boat. Not entirely sure what scared me most - the head or the man biting through his pipe!

Nightmare On Elm Street Part 3 (I Think)

End of the movie, school kids just casually going to school on the bus, then BOOM! Freddie out from someone's torso. SHAT IT!

years ago watching the evil dead as a teenager, and my mate was in the kitchen sorting out a pot of tea...

near jumped out of my fucking skin at a sudden godawful, demonic howl that appeared from out of the blue....

not from the film like, but from the cat, he'd slammed the drawer shut and caught the cats tail in the drawer.....

FFS i near shat myself inside out

Salems Lot, deffo in the Kitchen scene

BUT the ultimate was ALIEN,

fecking shit myself tons of times watching that film, I remember hiding behind the setae and when I looked left there was my mother and when I looked right there was my daddy, both asking me to peek over and see what's happening, (aye right, so I will)

lol, the worst was the bit in the duct tunnels when the captain was looking for it with a daft flame gun

Fatal attraction, when she gets up out of the bath. I screamed like a little girl. In a packed cinema! Not a good look!

Wasn't really a film for me as they don't scare me but when I was a lot younger I was trolling around the world wide web on my own in a pitch black room when I came across a link to the apparent Steve Irwin death video.

I like an idiot clicked on this link, it started off innocent with a stingray swimming about next feckin thing a know this scary face pops up & the scariest shriek I've ever heard & me the idiot with the speakers at full.

I was literally frozen with fear yet could feel my entire body tremble couldn't get out of that chair for 45mins

Funhouse.

There's a scene where a kid is walking along by a chainlink fence and a guard dog goes for him and jumps up, snarling on the other side of the fence. No warning music build up, just sudden, vicious barking. Spent the rest of the movie shaking and jumping at everything.

Saw it years later on video and it was crap. I realised that there were 2 factors that made it really scary.

1. I've always been really jumpy around barking dogs.

2. The girl I was with had her hand on my arm. When the dog jumped up she screamed and sank her nails into my bicep so hard she drew blood,

The latter is what really scared me. No real-world effects = dull movie.
