Bed advice

No nothing in bed, but actually bed advice is required.

We need a new bed to replace our old worn out one, but are struggling to find one.

Given that online shops tend to veto reviews, only the positive ones appear.

Our last mattress was a Silentnight one, and it's only lasted just over 3 years.

Has anyone bought a bed recently and can recommend any makes or features?

The only thing we have decided upon is that it's to be a divan with 2-drawer storage.

Thank you in advance.

I bought a bed from Ikea for my son earlier this year. It's a simple double bed frame, seperate headboard and has 4 storage drawers under it. Bought a sprung mattress to go with it. Came to about £230 in total. He swears it's the most comfortable bed he's ever slept in.

Look into a waterbed, I bought one over 20 years ago and it has been great, very clean doesn't deteriorate over time always the same temp and a great sleep.

I inherited a beautiful sleigh bed a couple of months ago. It's solid cherry wood and cost my aunt a rather large fortune ten years ago.

It's not only stunning but I put a memory foam mattress on top of the other one. It's soo comfy and completely squeak proof

It is the most beautiful thing I've ever owned x

Can't help you with your enquiry OP, but interested to know if there is anyone else on here like me who really dislikes being in bed?

Obvious bedroom and comfort shenanigans aside, I try to spend as little time in it as possible. Fight going there till the wee small hours and exit as early as I wake.

I might be a weirdo though.

Can't really help on makes or manufacturers as it really depends on the type of bed/mattress you like. For me I can't recommend highly enough my Feather Mattress Topper which is on top of my current mattress. I've got one for the spare bed too & many of my friends & relatives switched to this after I mentioned how comfortable mine was & they all swear by them. Available on QVC.
