"Tunnock's tea cakes
Is it a cake ?
Or is it a biscuit
.
Maybe it should be considered bi-confectionary, lol "
It depends on what happens to the base if you left it out in the open, if it goes soft its a biscuit and if it goes hard its a cake, jaffa "cakes" were actually taken to court for allegedly misleading their customers but one their case as they proved it is actually a cake! I haven't tested the tunnocks tea cakes, but curiosity has now got the better of me and I'm off out to buy some, plus they taste amazing |

Think jaffa "cakes" are so called due to their sponge base therfore fall under the classification of "cakes"
As for tunnocks tea cakes well I'd say biscuit base makes them a biscuit..
Possibly wrong but just my theory!

.
Surely then if they're calling them jaffa "cakes"
There's a case to be won against them under the trade description act
A class action lawsuit anyone, lol |

If everyone is going to be buying tea cakes and jaffa cakes, we should maybe ask if they would do a sponsorship deal with fab! |

Jaffa cakes were brought to court by our beloved HMRC, who said they were actually biscuits, and demanded their missing millions of wonga. After a long case involving many experts, they lost......leaving the tax man free to persue amazon, starbucks and vodafone. |

"It's all to do with the fact that biscuits go hard and cakes go soft. It went to court with Jaffa cakes and that was decided
Oops I said that the wrong way around "
We knew what you meant, one starts of hard and goes soft and the other starts of soft and goes hard, which one do you prefer! |

Haha. I'd never last as a vegan. I do like veg but rather have chicken curry etc. That's why I need to keep treats to a minimum.
He's winning our battle I lost 3lbs first week put 3lbs on second week and took 1lbs off last week. He's took 4lbs off so far. Who ever loses 6lbs before 5th Dec gets to play solo so wish me luck lol xx |
