The most impressive rugby player I've ever saw he was a phenomenon. Who could forget the try against England where he was running flat out with four English players holding on to him flapping about behind him like a scarf amazing

A beast of a player, very rarely took less than two men to bring him down, trampled over some fellow Englishmen like they weren't there, made me wince and be in awe at the same time

I know he had been battling his disease for a long time but to,lose him at 40 must be heartbreaking for his family. A fantastic player and ambassador for his sport.

May he rest in peace

I was lucky enough to be on the same pitch as the man. A gentleman and rugbys first super star.

Jonah Lomu was a true Ambassador for his people, his Country and his sport. One of the nicest guys ever to grace the field of play, and undoubtedly one of the finest players in history. Any of us who have played the game regard him as a true Icon of Rugby......to put a Scottish context to it " when will we ever see his likes again"
