What's your favourite place to visit in Scotland.
We recently had the pleasure of a brief visit to Plockton, a beautiful little place with friendly locals and visitors alike
.
Scotland is full of places like that and that got me wondering...
Where have you visited that you would give a thumbs up Fab too |

Anstruther . Love the little beach there and the best fish & chips in the world.
To be fair though Scotland has so many beautiful spots and beaches. Even portobello as the sun goes down is a lovely place to be.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
Too many to list... but off the top of my head
Aviemore
Pitlochry
Edinburgh
Cullen beach
I'm quite fond of Dundee as well.
I love the area I live in, I can be in the mountains in an hour or on the beach in an hour, or even in the city in an hour too, but have the plus side of a lovely rural location and a small village. |

There's a little village just north of Loch lomond. I think it's called Arrochar.
There's a pub with the beer garden on the banks of the loch with a massive hill/mountain across from it. I love it there xx |

Will make sure we do next time we are in the area.
As for pubs, there's a cracker just a bit north of there called the drovers inn or something like that,
It's been a long time, but it was like stepping back in time going in there, absolutely loved the place

(Isle of) Harris. Stunning countryside with several deserted beaches with spotless white sands that stretch for miles and miles with Caribbean blue waters. Quite surreal and jaw dropping stuff. Check explore-harris.com for more info. Bit of a trek getting there, but well worth it if you want to get away from it all. |

The Grove.....a great wee walk in the country that goes along by the local river.
Also local to me are the Dukes woods...private land though.Stopped going there for a wee while years ago after being told to "get orf moi laaaaand!" by a shotgun wielding grumpy gamekeeper! .....Was a fair bit off the beaten track that day though. |

I love Lossiemouth. I believe I belong there. The sense of tranquillity and the feeling of being at home settles on me as I drive in from Elgin.
The beaches are beautiful, some nice pubs, and the roar of the jets. Bliss! |

I adore Edinburgh because it's my 2nd home.
My great aunt lives in Portobello/Joppa & I love the _iew of the sea from her house.
My grandad was from Fraserburgh & I remember driving along the Banff coast as a teenager & thinking how lovely it was. There was a lido I remember "swimming" in which was abandoned but is in the process of being renovated. I've not been back since as it's about a 10 hour drive but my dad went back in June to take loads of pics & get a bit of family history |

Might be best not to go back. My bf used to go his grannies caravan in the Maidens every year. When he past his test we used to go down for the day then when kids were born we took them. Then a few years ago he said we're not coming back as it had changed so much it was no longer the place he rembers as a kids. He was very upset about it which is very unusual for him as he normaly doesn't give a damn about anything really xx |
