Now that I think about it, you're probably right, everyone must have been at least a bit shy at first, lol

This describes me perfectly. I'm an extrovert who struggles with social anxiety. People who meet me think I'm confident and outgoing. I have lots of natural ability and talents in different areas of my life but I hate criticism and fear I might not be good if I stick my neck out. Work and social events has me second guessing myself a lot. I have got better and try to not let it hold me back but it's exhausting at times.

The social anxiety can be a difficult one to cope with never mind overcome boobalicious

The hating criticism while inhibiting can be be used to your advantage though, you know, it spurs you to excel at whatever you do. Downside is, that's always going to be exhausting.

Of course all those little quirks are what makes you, you. You wouldn't be the same without them and you do sound like a wonderfully interesting person just the way you are

I think it's very easy to come over as one thing on the internet, however the reality is different.

For example I'm pretty confident and outgoing on here. However in person I am actually quite shy at first. I doubt myself massively and don't have a lot of confidence and I'm not comfortable being the centre of attention.

Guess it's all down to practice though x

Ditto. Quite enjoy popping a photo up on here but a bit shy at first

.

You're right, I wouldn't have seen you as lacking in confidence

But then I guess you've found your feet here and you do seem perfectly comfortable in this environment.

I hate being the centre of attention too I have to say,

I do have the disadvantage of being confident in my own abilities, which seems to end up with me being put on the spot too bloody often for my liking though, lol.

Hi there, don't think I've bumped into you on a thread yet so... hello, lol

You do seem to overcome any shyness when you want to and people like yourself are always the easiest to get on with.

Public speaking is my bugbear, lol
