It's very central but if you try looking a bit out of the main city centre it's only going to be a few pounds in a taxi or you'd be able to get buses. Cameron toll has a whole load of little b&bs near it. There's also usually a gem to be found in Haymarket if you try late rooms or booking . Com rather than prem Inn or the other chains

All as some may be aware I'm a very proud mummy of 3 sons. My eldest currently volunteers at a community radio station and does 2 shows a week for them. The station forms part of the Penicuuk Community Education Association. It gets no funding and they rely on volunteers like my son and fund raising events to keep them on air. My son has relished the opportunity to work for them and learning so much whilst staring on the path to his dream job. On the night I will be selling raffle tickets to try and raise them some pennies. I would welcome any donations of raffle prizes or purchases of tickets as a little does make a big difference to them. Thanks xx

We have booked a function room in a very central bar in Edinburgh. Hope to have around 50 people there from 7.30/8 til late. All the details will be sent by private message next Friday to everyone on our guest list.

I believe some are hoping to come along as well as going to TG

On the night we have our own bar and I think we have a dance floor too.

judging from the post, I'd say pretty healthy. There seem to be quite a lot of couples and single females going and the amount of single males is being carefully controlled as I believe there is a reserve list for single guys

To give you all a rough idea of numbers here's the count as it stands at the moment.

19 couples

23 females

30 men however 12 of those men are on a reserve list

Also according to the people in the know the number of single men expected is never reached as they often back out.

We are also still waiting on a few more women confirming.

The venue holds 70 so it will be great if everyone made it.

As the event is purely social it's hopefully not going to feel uneven in ratios. We have tried our best to avoid the 'sausage fest' however it's important that as many people as possible get the chance to come and meet new people.

Hopefully it will be a success and everyone has a great night xx

Hiya so so so sorry gonna have to cancel my place ive a hellish cold and a bad chest infection Better some one else gets my place and it doesnt go to waste No Gaurantee i will be ok by Saturday ive also cancelled my hotel Once again so so so sorry about this as i was so looking forward to it x
