Why are people so lazy when writing these days?
Since when did "am" replace "I'm" or "I am"?
"No" instead of "know"
Don't even get me started on there, they're, their, to, too, two, were and where! On top of that, there's text speak!!
I can't be the only person who gets pissed off with it all surely!?

as long as I get the jist of what's trying to be said it really doesn't bother me at all.
Far to many hung up on such things to be honest.
If these people ain't for you block and move on and enjoy the site for the reasons you joined

I think there is a balance to be had, text speak or slang in moderation can enliven and make a message informal and fun but one does like to know the person you are talking to can hold a decent conversation too... however... when comforting a grammar nazi, I like to pat them softly on the back and say... their, they're, there...    |

If someone has reached adulthood or even middle age and still spells, say, 'ladies' as 'ladys', or even worse, 'lady's' well, I don't think we're going to be conversing on the same level.
I know it sounds rough, and probably a little arrogant, but there it is... |

To be fair we are not here for spelling or grammar classes. And wouldn't put us off meeting anyone. I have friends who are dyslexic and hold down good jobs who I can have conversations with for hours on end. Spelling and grammar do not make the person but each to their own. |
