All Police on horseback should also carry a shovel, seriously Dog owners can get fined for not picking up their mess but Horses can destroy entire roads with about a ton of shit. |

Perhaps, but the dog is well trained and the smell is a good indication of where it is. |

No I think they are exempt but probably do pick up if able. I would imagine guide dogs are probably trained not to drop their arse contents just any old place |

My reply was not about the legal position, but the practicalities of a blind person lifting dog shit. It was something I was in the dark about until I asked my blind friend. The dog has a harness on, so the owner knows exactly where the dog is, therefore they know exactly where poop is and bag over hand they scoop up the stinky stuff. |
