I think it's cookies your phone like mine has a memory of a page and will just keep loading the memory.

Sometimes going to home page deleting your cache and refreshing then returning to updates gets you a fresh page

Nope mine is tops for using on fab only time it slows is when i go into chat rooms and perv cams

you tried making sure your bluetooth is off and try dimming your screen,that might help extend your battery life
