sometimes it can be difficult to get sitters, or bein let down by your sitter, but most people understand if you have kids that these things, and it can take some plannin to work round kids...

and if they take the humf then its there problem not yours,

We have not had to cancel because of sitters but it is hard to try and get a sitter, we usually try to use family once they have agreed there is no turning back, they dare not, they know I regard someones word as their bond and dare not be broken, they know we make plans on their say so.. It's hard enuff we can only arrange anything for a Saturday but we can't ask them every weekend

we couldn't not meet or cancel, I would rather turn up with kid In backseat and make apologies, probxbly invite them to house for drinks n chat just to salvage something, no play with kiddie there tho.

Have to agree it's a pain when a sitter lets you down, especially if you have bought a new dress shoes etc. and booked an hotel room for a social or club.... grrrrrrr

funny you should say that Bren, pamela is looking at setting up a nannying business, like they have in the USA.

shes to get the license before any plans are finalised and she already has a few fully qualified girls who have put thier name forward. Its a topic shes been considering for a few years as a run up to trying to buy her own nursery.
