There's a thread over in the lounge just now about men having sex with certain types but wouldn't be seen out with them or introduce them to friends etc
I think this could be a question you could extend to everyone.
So would you sleep with someone you'd be embarrassed to date? |

I'd never be embarrassed to be seen with anyone....... I would never think if myself as being so superior that I have the right to be "embarrassed" to be seen with someone. If that makes sense........ 
If I like someone enough to sleep with them then I would be just as happy to go out with them too! 
But then I've never really cared what anyone thought before lol |

I agree that I'm not that shallow. However when I think about it a bit deeper I think it probably happens much more than people might realise.
For example in a club situation. You might play with people that were clearly never going to be getting your phone number
There's also those that are perhaps experiments. Really not your type but you fancy trying something different. I know I've been the experiment at least twice.
The NSA aspect of this site tends to make all these things more acceptable and in some ways perhaps expected.
It does make you wonder.. |

Yes ... Plenty people we have had fun with but wouldn't class them as the type to have a relationship with .... Sex and swinging is about sexual pleasure and you can have that from someone you wouldn't nessesarily date or wanna take home lol |

I agree with this.... I'd sleep with someone that I wouldn't want to date per se. In fact, the best sex of my life was with someone I really didn't like very much lol
However the question was around being embarrassed to date someone and that's where I would have an issue. |

I wouldn't use the word embarassed because thats not the reason ... but I have slept with people that I wouldn't date ... its more about knowing it wouldn't work because outside the bedroom your not really compatible or if they are the type of person you couldnt trust as far as you could throw them for a commited relationship but thats not a concern when its just sex and you know they cant hurt you |

Yes. I don't actually want to date at all just now, but that's not stopping me from doing the other thing lol... Like others have said, curiosity, temptation, heat of the moment, etc can also influence a decision against what you think you would typically go or not go for. |

Would only have sex with someone I was attracted too. Always have a social meet 1st in a public place so again would only meet if not ashamed to be seen in public with. |

Totally agree! I used to have my "type" in my head and thought I knew what that was. As I've been exploring more I find that I don't have a type at all and that attraction is very unique and often takes me by surprise!

dating to me means looking at a possible relationship,
so no..there are some I wouldnt introduce to friends n family, most likely a huge age difference or if they were married of course..but really, its about whether I can have or want a relationship and vice versa.
none of its being shallow really, just a reality. |

There are people I know from right away are only good for a one night stand and I've had no interest in swapping numbers in the morning, but that's had nothing g to do with their physical appearance and more their attitude or personality. There has to be some sort of attraction for me to fuck them. That attraction doesn't come from looks alone though.
If someone is too ashamed to date someone because of what their friends may say it just reeks of insecurity and immaturity! It's usually those people who moan that they can't find a partner  |

Of course I would. I wouldn't have sex with everyone I meet but to me swinging is about finding people you have enough connection with to have great sex. Dating is about spending time with someone you like on a different level and then moving things into the bedroom ...unless they're particularly hot , in which case we wouldn't be out in public much  |

I would sleep with someone I wouldn't date because some guys I find physically attractive I wouldn't match with on an intellectual side of things and I don't date someone just for the physical side of things. I fell in love with mr's personality before his physical attractiveness he's my perfect guy haha just lucky we're willing to share each other lol. |

Of course.
I have dated people that I like as a person as well as looks but see them as potential long term relationships.
That's not to say that I would sleep with anyone, there has to be a connection, both in personalities and in attraction.
