I would probably have to go with simple minds but a number of bands I have seen over the years run them close goodbye mrmckenzie hipsway but closest deacon blue |

Hands down its Primal Scream. Followed by Simple Minds and The Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
But there are f£@kin' dozens of brilliant bands out there that don't get the breaks. They write and perform some of the best music that you'll hear but you do t hear it because they're not famous or had the breaks. |

Spot on. There was a local band to me about twenty years ago called baby chaos who were brilliant. They were signed but didn't make it too big. Think they're trying a comeback now though. |

To many to name but my first taste of Scottish bands when I lived in England and still in my top 3 is bay city rollers...my favourite Scottish band at min has to be red hot chili pipers..followed by runrig |
