Hey all the fridge has started to freeze everything in it.

I've had to chuck most of the stuff that was in it

It's on the lowest setting.

Any Ideas?

It's about 10 years old now.

Will it be a quick fix or do I need to get a new one?

A new thermostat would be my first buy before a new fridge.

Could be a printed circuit board - that's pretty easy to replace.

Search the www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk forum with your make and model. Someone might have had a similar problem.

If its a large fancy expensive 1 then i'd get it fixed but if its just your normal run of the mill fridge freezers i'd bin it and buy a new 1

It's one of those American style fridges. It's got the ice machine on the front but that gave up a couple of years ago.

It's 9 or 10 years old made by whirlpool.

Probably find out costs of getting it back to its glory...can be expensive then decide if its worth it

Is there plenty of space behind it for ventilation. Sometimes that can cause it. Try pulling it out for awhile.
