Hi all
I am sure that more than a few of you will already know where the supposed venue for the Christmas Sparkling Ball was to be. Well sorry to put a spoke in everyone’s wheel but the venue has been changed to a City Centre location. We all understand the need for secrecy regarding the venue, so I hope this posting will put paid to all the rumours which have been spreading about the site.
Jacs and I only want the Social to be a success with nobody to gatecrash and cause unnecessary concern to anyone else attending. So we decided to troll through Glasgow in a last minute haste to find another venue which is more central to everyone attending meaning no taxis needed.
We did have another venue when we first made our forum posting but the venue cancelled this because of their loss of licence, which led to us finding the 2nd venue.
We wish everyone attending to have a great time and come away from the Social thinking what a brilliant night they had and to pass that onto everyone else.
If anyone has any questions, please ask one of us two rather than discussing among yourselves reducing rumours again. Thank you.
Carolann and Jacs xxxx
Ps If you have a place on the Social, have been emailed regarding it and have not yet paid and still wish to attend, please follow the instructions for payment and be included in the fun.

"If someone hadnt opened their mouth re venue we wouldnt have had to change venue."
Who told them where the 2nd venue was in the first place for them to be able to open their mouths and tell others where it was?
I thought it was kept secret between the organisers until we all got the mail a couple of days beforehand? |

Awww well a re-think is now required for all those attending then after possibly cancelling the City Centre Hotels (after the first change of venue) to one further out and now needing to try and cancel those ones (if they can without penalty) back to a City Centre one and all at the time of year when it's gonna be jam packed with all the other works Christmas parties that will have been booked for months! |

"Well theyve been given enough time to reconsider they accommodation so hopefully shouldnt be a problem."
Enough time? - In the run up to Christmas when everyone else has booked up the rooms for their pre organised works parties?
I hope so too, but we will see .... |

It's impossible to keep things like social venues, dogging sites, swing club addresses and so on secret. There's no happy medium between enough discretion for safety and enough publicity for success.
Moving dates, or times, or venues simply doesn't work. Whoever 'outed' the original venue will do so again. |

"No they wont this time as nobody else knows unless they're clairvoyant lol and unfortunately nothing would surprise me on this now "
The fact that you must, by definition, tell those who wish to attend, counts as an obvious security weakness. |

Seren, you can never please all the people all the time.
All I can say is hope you all have a splendid night.
Security is tantamount to many, I know and appreciate all the hassle that involves. xxxxx |

"Some friends they turned out to be eh!!" I wonder how many times Tommy Sheridan's said that the last few months LOL
Well we kept out city centre hotel booking and can now spend the money we've put in the piggy bank for the taxi's on drink.........Win win as far as I can see.
Looking forward to a good night, and catching up with some old faces and meeting plenty of new ones.
Scoobz if your in Glasgow anyway and need a place to get changed into or out off your ball gown geez a shout |

anyone got any suggestions of cheap central hotels? - pm us please
We booked ours months ago outside the city near the venue to avoid the christmas costs and the room prices have doubled in the city since then!
Might even result in one of us having to stay sober and drive!!
I know the change of venue cant be helped but it's in 12 days time and 2weeks before christmas!
Think the person who let it slip should be led to the new venue blindfolded after it's started... just incase!
