Im 31 and grew up on Dr. Hook, my mum and auntie played them all the time round the house while I was young. I got to take both of them to see them (well dennis locorriere) live in December. He was amazing still had it. It was a sing a long from start to finish.
Anyway sorry to bore you (just never run into dr hook fans)
I have a few favourites tbh
Everybody's making it big but me
Sharing the night together
More like the movies
Years from now
Cover of the rolling Stones
Millionaire (the story behind this is amazing)
My friends favourite is :
I got stoned and I missed it haha
God bless dennis locorriere, Ray sawyer and the rest of the medicine band |

"
I know I've named pretty much there timeless greatest hits album already haha
But carry me carrie is such a great song
So come on, Carrie
Carry me a little
I carried you, now carry me a little
Come on, Carrie, carry me a little while
They don't write lyrics like they used too |

Millionaire...cover of the rolling stone...when you're in love with a beautiful woman...
Great tunes by a great artist but my all time fave of his is defo Sylvia's mother, such a heartfelt song you can feel the heartbreak yourself!
Of course it's always a braw tune for a d*unken shoutalong (the word singalong doesn't really apply to me!)
"N the aapuhratuh said faowdy cents moah...fuh the next,three,minutes...OOOOOHHHH"
My American accent sounds a lot better than it reads... Honest!

Sylvia's mother reminds me of a girl i worked with when very young gorgeous red hair and the longest shapely legs. You know what she ended up going to canada and got married there. Spooky i know we had a few funtimes together i often think i should have phoned her mother. |
