We are newish to this and never been to a party where anyone has played, we went to a social one from here and really enjoyed it. We were looking to go to one soon but our family life gets in the way sometimes.
As we have babysitters next weekend we were looking for something but there doesn't seem to be much posted so we are considering hosting one ourselves. We are quite nervous though in asking a few strangers round and hosting something we have no experience of. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for us and what is your experiences of hosting parties

"Dont expect everyone who says they will come to turn up.
And make it a very relaxed evening, that way everyone feels comfy"

Also if you are having play at your party make sure folk know where is out of bounds ie kids rooms & stuff |

What about who we invite? Do you think its best to get to know a few people by going to other parties or clubs first because we are limited on who we know here or would you think hosting our own party is a good way of getting to know people. |

We've hosted a few lately and we knew the core group so it went well a lot depends on how many you invite the best ones have in our experience about sixteen people four either way works. Let people chat and drink get to know each other for a bit then maybe play a risqué party game nothing to heavy we always play higher or lower with pack of giant cards and just work way round room three or four times the first forfeit if you get it wrong is to kiss someone of their choice and as each round goes on agree a forfeit we know use the app on iPhone for sex dice and again you they pick who they perform the forfeit on it let's them show an intrest. More likely to get playing if you choose people who play and have veris saying they do. Put up a meet for party and you will get intrest |

We held a party recently and with a couple of exceptions we had met everyone beforehand, either they were already friends of ours or we met for a coffee and chat to see if they'd be a good fit.
We had 18 people show up and a couple of cancellations due to illness and babysitters. Not everyone played (most did) but all had a great time and we'd invite them all again.

Thanks for the advice. I think after some of the not very nice messages we have had the past couple of days we would wait til we know people a bit better before hosting. We are looking to go to some parties and clubs now to get to know people and play if we are comfortable x |

Its always better if you get to know people first , I would read people's verifications and make sure they are genuine party people , failing that go to a few clubs and meet face to face or pick a nice quiet pub/restaurant and meet some for a coffee and chat first. good luck ,, |
