"And warm means midges and ticks."

heavy going even with "smidge the midge" and "skin so soft"

some guys I shoot with often use "frontline" in well known high tick areas; frontline is for dogs but it seems to work for them

Near Edinburgh..

We Did it Once and Never Again.. Done it so fast that we didn't really get the time to enjoy it..

Loch Lomond side felt like it lasts forever and you don't get to see much but trees !!

The rest is really beautiful and breath-taking..

After Devils Staircase the Scenery is something from another World..

Not many shops on the walk and you do need to be prepared to do the walk..

We done it in five days and we carried our tent sleeping bag and cooking equipment and clothes and food drink all or our Backs..

Best of luck - its so Good to accomplish..

Done it a couple of times, I think you have picked the wrong time of year though, best time is May. Place is littered with foreigners and things can get real interesting lol.

My advice though have plenty cash as it is expensive, especially a night at kings house, plenty of repellent and good water proofs. Good luck though hope you have fun,

Ps devils staircase is a killer
