personally, I would go more with looks than age,
age can be a difficult thing to know in both male & female
a guy who looks young for his age with a female who looks much older than her age will have people talking

if someone is passing by and see an older lady (by looks)
and a younger guy (again by looks)
they presume the female is a cougar, they aint going to come up to you both and say, excuse me, you might be a cougar can I check both your ages first, bollocks, again its looks and appearance
if the lady looks ancient and with a young guy then you presume
no one walks around with age stamped on forehead |

It's another one of these phrases, like MILF, that's been so overused and distorted over time that it's kind of lost its meaning a fair bit.
Some guys seem to think it just means a woman that's older than them but to me (S) it's a lady in her 40's or older seducing a much younger guy, probably mid 20's or younger.
Is their a similar name for guys that are much older than the women they go for? Apart from perv, obviously! Sugar Daddy doesn't really cut it. |

Aye, I'd say at least fifteen years.
I was nineteen when I met my first cougar, although they were called Mrs Robinsons back then. I don't know how old she was but her youngest child was two years older than me. I was too much of a gent to ask her age. |
