CJ is moving house!

Well I'm just have to make a special trip back to Scotland later then. I'm coming for the whole of August and had been hoping to visit. Any other party places you'd recommend for an August visit? (Other than After 8) |

Very sad news ...best party place ever!! And the hostess with the mostest lol xxx
Caroline told me she was going to have to move last time I was there but didn't realise it was going to be so soon 
Last party night in the house this Saturday 25th July ...think it will be a busy one!!
Im sure you will all join me to wish her all the best with her move and hopefully with the new club...life will just not be the same without CJs !!

somebody in this thread mentioned negative press but has anybody ever thought its the people that go that bring the negativity.
it seems to be the least discrete of places so maybe if it was run a bit better it wouldnt have to keep changing venues, its not the people who live near the venue that brings it on top its the people that are trying to find it that make it stand out.
it could be run in a more discrete way if people wanted but as long as there is money to be made who needs discretion.
it may be "just a great house party" but who wants to go to the same party with the same people every week, glasgow could do with a better, classier swingers club anyway, and if there was cjs would be an afterthought, so maybe this is a good thing.
but as mentioned earlier as long as there is money to be made there will probably always be a cjs. pity!!

Not sure about bringing negativity to cjs but you certainly brought the negativity to this thread
As has been said already shes moving because theres more development due to start around her
And as for the same party with same people every week comment how does an additional club change the swinger population in glasgow?
And before someone says oh look she cant see past precious cjs ... Im not even close yo being a regular ... Ive actually only been twice but i just dont see the need to trash on or look down on what other people enjoy because its not your thing  |

Really don't see what all the fuss is about. The move has been on the cards for a while. Caroline is an astute women and moves with the times not when forced, so just maybe a move to new, bigger and better premises is the way forward. Oh and it's keeps things fresh, nice and fresh. |

I wondered if something like this would happen after the business about the neighbours being pissed at folks turning up looking for directions to the club.
It's never easy treading the line between enough publicity to generate the required attendees and income and so much publicity that you attract the wrong sort of attention. |

Its only when a place closes or moves all the experts come out and comment, CJ's is a good place where folk can meet likeminded individuals in safe surroundings, the emails sent out clearly state where it is and not to go visiting the neighbours. It not hard to find, its not perfect but nowhere ever would be because folk all have different ideas, good luck with the new place wherever it may be |

Firstly I would like to say well said to girlinlingerie. Secondly I would like to say to westend2 u have yr _iews it's a shame that u have never even experienced but u feel the urge to put yr point across when u have never even been. Even tho people have said to u both its a great house party that explains it a bit but more to the point it's a friendly personal touch kind of club. It's unique in the fact there is no club like it in the whole of scotland. You would have a total different _iew if you had been yourselves. It's people like you that ruin those kind of experiences for people as you've not had them but think it's acceptable to put other people off. You are the negativity all over fab! |

Having been a few times yes there were some familiar faces each time we went but loads of new ones each time as well haven't been able to go much because of work but hope to remedy that at new venue good luck caroline where ever you end up moving to as for negative press the last story was full of inaccuracies was about two small paragraphs and tucked away on about page 22 in a corner most people would have missed it. The club is unique in the swinging world it is like a great house party the best kind none of the other clubs can boast that |

we never got to cjs but the people who attended clubf down here in durham always had good things to say about it,,, all the best to our scottish friends and hope a new place opens soon for yous xx |

Don't post much on the forums these days but when I saw this post I made an exeption!
Some people loved it and no doubt some didn't but that will be the case for everything!
For me cjs at the current location will always have special memories for me, from going to my first GG night to Caroline's 50th and the once or twice I've been since! Lol! I can honestly say I've never had a bad night there!
I'm sure Caroline and Michelle will find a new venue soon if they havnt already and it will be a success!

I don't know the full background but having read one article, its the sensationalist hypocritical and apparently "holier than thou" hacks who are the "taudry and sordid" leeches, feeding from the private lives of others.
