Ayrshire

It bugs me when people say discuss

In answer to your question, it would be great if there was but we need someone to get up and organise it

Yeah but I winding you up.

Wanna come help pitch this tent?

So considering that two island music festivals were cancelled in Scotland recently is it feasible?

I know there's a small group of camping enthusiasts in Scotland amongst the swingers so I wouldn't mind being involved by contributing some sounds & the Disco Bawz.

You couldn't do that. Your platform disco boots would get stuck in the mud

It's Effrenatas first year so no one knows the comparison and unfortunately I can't afford to go so I can only vouch for Swingfields, been twice and will be going back. You may need to invest a tad more than some sounds etc though to create a Scottish equivalent to either, it's not about music or people that camp lol. Good luck

Effrenata promo vid looks good & their site very professional. I'm not thinking a Scottish equivalent would be on such a scale as I don't think Scotland had the swinging or camping numbers to support any investment. However there are some posts in the Forums about campers doing their own very small scale thing. I'm sure everyone takes their own tunes but I'd be interested in a small scale way to supply sounds. I think most film take their own food etc.

Swingfields is a far larger, established & organised event. The intention here was to gauge if anyone was that interested in a swinging camping do in Scotland. The promo vid for Effrenata looks a blast.

My "brokeback mountain" days of sleeping in a tent are long past me, I prefer the finer things in life including four or five star hotels

no more camping, midges or rain for me, these days are long gone for me.

Warwickshire

Howdy All!

Sorry we've not seen this post before now.

Why don't you guys come to down to Warwickshire and see us, we don't bite you know - well, not hard anyway

The festival site is a 10 minute taxi ride from the nearest major train station. Birmingham airport is only 20 minutes by taxi.

Hotel Rooms and Glamping Tents are available for reservation so, you wouldn't need to cary your tent with you or worse still drive your caravan or motorhome all the way down.

And how about this, for any Scottish folk making that long journey to join us for a weekend of refined hedonism, we'll arrange for a private hire car to collect you from either the train station or airport, completely free of charge.

Love and happiness

Xxx

Hey effrenta,

Great to see you drop by & such a nice offer. Sadly I'll be in the Algarve but hopefully I'll make your next one. Hope it goes really well.

Maybe some of the other Scottish camping fans will be there.
