Been to Turkey, loved it but won't venture back anytime soon. A colleague is off to Tunisia later this week, says it's a big country and he won't be put off.
I'd rather go somewhere I can relax and enjoy myself without worrying if it is all going to kick off. |

Change your lifestyle to suit a terrorist only gives them what they want. Most of us holiday in resorts with hightened security as we have seen recently non islamic states are no safe place to be either. Its the root of the problem needs cut out. let these organisations know their behaviour wont be tolerated |

Being ex forces and served in iraq and afghan and also doin private security in both countries I remember asking our interpreters if things were better...100% no...things are worse now than ever they said and I agree....one thing that a guy said to me and sticks with me was.."although saddam hussein was an awful man..you knew your place and no one stepped out of line and if he was here today then this would not be happenin "...makes you think !! |

Better to know your enemies cause you don't know who their enemies are or who will replace them.
Can't let these twats make you live in fear so would still book up anywhere unless I know it's a absolutely war like Iraq or Libya.
It's true that these things can happen at any time and scary to thing but any place however...you could be knocked down or have a heart attack or getting attacked by some nutter at anytime so no point worrying about things you have no control over and just live life while we have it.

We have a proven track record of being very lenient terrorist feels a bit ill........send him home 15 to life ........out in 8. I think reform is needed a punishments to fit the crime need to be re-thought if we wernt seen being so weak would they not have a bit of fear of reprisals |

2 brothers that served in afghan , major orders a mortar attack into a compound , 5 minutes later locals bringing bodies of dismembered kids and woman in wheel barrows to try and get help from the medics , happened so regular that 1 brother had to leave the army wi ptsd the other minus 2 legs .

The world is a scary messed up place. Having been to Tunisia and that resort its really hit home. I had a conversation with a friend who said he wouldn't go near Tunisia. Guess he was right.
That said the world is a big place and we shouldn't live in fear to explore it.

Yeah I agree with your sentiments but disagree with the modern practice of using drones/remote controlled killing machines which have zero regard for life.....innocent or otherwise.
So much footage online of civilians being blown away doing such everyday stuff as dropping the kiddies of to school only to have their lives snuffed out prematurely by gung ho 'patriots' with itchy trigger fingers who take pleasure in the act of blowing up so called 'terrorists'...........

In some respects I agree with your sentiments. although the biggest problem in my eyes is the media coverage now when I served in ireland. there was plenty of "incidents" alot of these resulted in fatalitys but my family knew nothing about it as terrorist acts were not covered to give them the media coverage they crave. I believe the reason behind drones and things is also to be more precise. not put your own troops in danger where possible unfortunatly sometimes the gung ho element can still be behind that button |

I wouldn't say f@@k Islam or any other religion, but I will agree, I have met many Muslims from so many different countrys, and live next door to the "paki in the village" .
My two Turkish friends and next door have said to me, never trust a fundamentalist! Most Muslims won't just openly talk about it, the fundamentalist mentality is very opresive, and they live to die. When you can't open your eyes and see what goes on in the world and realise what goes on in the world. That religion was forced upon us from history to fight for God king and country.
If you look at all religions there basic code of practice is all about living a morally good way of life (if everyone followed these the world would be a better place)
Anyone who wants to kill someone who has never inflicted any direct harm to them or of a different faith or race should be drowned.
Islamic state members are scum, they do need to be dealt with, western governments are always coming to the rescue to these conflicts and war zones and get nothing but criticism and comebacks.

A good few years ago me n a mate were shit faced d*unk when we happened across an army recruitment stall with big fuck off guns chained to the table....we were just going to stumble past when one of them piped up "fancy a shot lads?"
They handed us said rifles (I think one of them was a Barret 50 cal!) and didn't bat an eyelid as we proceeded to take aim at random shoppers through the sights!

where have you been for the last year, we have been on severe alert for a year, when you work in a military base as soon as you go in the gate with your pass the alert status is posted outside the gatehouse.
There is no easy answer and with the amount of new immigrants openly coming to the UK with their own religions and beliefs then there will never be an easy answer

"Just heard now that the uk is now on severe alert so looks like this attack was definitely aimed at British people . This world has totally went to pot .
where have you been for the last year, we have been on severe alert for a year, when you work in a military base as soon as you go in the gate with your pass the alert status is posted outside the gatehouse.

I no work in military base so never knew about that bit but cheers for enlighting me. As for other attacks i think there a bit closer to happening than what people think. |
