Whilst having a wee Friday morning browse on my regular porn site..... my browser was hijacked twice and a message stated I'd looked at illegal material (obviously not the case) and advised I had to pay money via ukash to unfreeze my browser! There was no option to close or reject the message so I had to switch off completely and restart. I'm confident this is a scam as I'm comfortable with my viewing preference but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this? Scammers are such kill joys |

"Sounds like Trojan / Virus you've picked up. Clear all your cache and delete browsing history, then run your anti virus "Full Scan" and see if that s out the problem."
Thank you for that, I'll do this now |

This is ransomware lots of info on net about removing this also heard a story about young lad who committed suicide after believing this.
The original ransomware used to be a bugger to remove but can be more straightforward now |

"It's usually either from the Met Police or Strathclyde.
Malwarebytes sorted it for me."
Malwarebytes is free to download and easy and quick to use. You'll be surprised just what it finds on a standard home PC |
