I've been asked by Miss Sparkles to organise a social event for "singles only " in Glasgow.
The chosen date for this one will be Saturday 1st August.
Names will be taken to gauge the interest and that will allow us to look into venues depending on numbers and availability . Places will be as always secured with paypal payment once we get a venue and costs we will mail everyone who's interested to advise you .
Just to clarify all singles are welcome to join this event and just to make it clear that it's purely a social night out to meet other single like minded members .
Please can I ask that if you don't wish to attend or have any interest in this ,then you refrain from adding comments as it's to get names and numbers of those who do want to come along .
Tina will be helping out with this one as it was her idea but she's asked if you can contact me on this profile as it keeps it altogether and we can work together in person.
Looking forward to something a little different and meeting up with lots of new people .

Where you don't need to worry if they are attached or married or not and know that they eligible as such. I think a single person social brings an entirely different dynamic and it is one that I like.
For many single people attending socials it can be very daunting, it hasn't always been the most welcoming looking out at tables full of people and knowing where to start introducing yourself.
I personally think it should be for singles only if it is badged that way.

Surely if it's singles only then NO married person should be allowed to attend.
If counting as being single on fab means it's going purely on one person profiles then everyone with only 1 person on the profile counts a single, no?
Whether the other half knows or not.
Maybe I've got the whole thing wrong & mixed up.

If counting as being single on fab means it's going purely on one person profiles then everyone with only 1 person on the profile counts a single, no?
Whether the other half knows or not.

Dxmy thoughts were if you had a single profile then you would be allowed to attend.
Not sure how it's going to work because no one knows what a person's marital status is unless asked or they have it openly on their profiles.
Also those who are happy to meet with marrieds or attached are getting to get their cake and eat it.
I'm sure shelley will decide what's the best way to go with this one.

Where you don't need to worry if they are attached or married or not and know that they eligible as such. It's a perfect for singles who normally don't feel comfortable going alone or get turned away because your a single. Here's a chance to meet likewise" but she's said an openly married guy can attend so seems the rules have changed. And that's why I added my name I hadn't originally till I saw that comment too. "

easily confused... My thoughts were it was for true genuine singles.
Then a married male was accepted to come along so that's when I added my name as I'd like to attend as a female with a single profile. |

Maybe a new post needs started stating exactly the "single" status wanted for this social and start again with names.....might be the easiest and most politically correct way that way people can attend knowing exactly what's what so to speak . |

Just to clarify that the social is indeed intended for SINGLE people , we cannot vet everyone that adds their names and without wishing to exclude anyone here if you're married or attached then it's not really fair on the genuinely single people who are going with the perception that they are going to a social event where it is a "singles " only night . So can I ask that those that aren't truly single do not add their names as there are plenty other events that may be more suitable to attend .
Hope this clears up any confusion ..
Single ,separated,divorced widowed unattached is the criteria for this one folks .
Apologies to anyone this may offend who has a single profile but are not in fact single but it seems the fairest way to do this .

Hi guys
Following a discussion with tina over this social today ,sorry to have to advise that we've been unsuccessful in securing a big enough venue to hold the numbers required for this. So we are currently looking at what dates are available later on for this event . We both have other commitments at the moment so if you'd bear with us we will update you when the dates are sorted . Height of summer and availability is rather bleak im afraid.
