some sexy females always catch your eye but more important:-
John Deere is taking the opportunity of its presence at this year’s Royal Highland Show at Ingliston, just outside Edinburgh, to show off some great new tractors and farm machinery.
Taking a bow will be the new John Deere 8000 Series forage harvester, alongside the mid-range 6R tractors.
Both machines are powered by John Deere’s newest Stage IV engines, offering new levels of economy and clean operation.
Both machines will feature prominently on the John Deere stand at Avenue S during the June show.
The John Deere 8600i
John Deere 8000 Series forage harvester
John Deere’s top-of-the-range self-propelled forage harvester is the wide-body 8600i.
This machine is driven by the powerful 3.5 litre 625hp John Deere Tier IV engine, and also features the company’s award-winning and unique HarvestLab system for crop constituent sensing.
This fully featured machine also has the latest KernelStar2 multi-crop processing system, along with the AutoLOC feature, which automatically sets the length of crop to be cut.
This clever system uses the actual condition of the forage to set the cutting length and allows the operator to define this required length from the comfort of the machine’s cab.
John Deere remains out in front when it comes to the technology on its self-propelled forage harvesters.
No other company can offer an accurate and proven system to measure maize and grass constituents on a commercially available forage harvester.
The system is mounted on the spout of the forager, and this versatile and sophisticated piece of kit can also be quickly and easily removed in order for it to be used for analysis of stationary feeds and also winter silage.
Some of the other new features on the John Deere 8000 forage harvesters include a good range of headers and the ADS fully integrated twin line dosing system for the advanced dosing of silage additives.
There are also grass pick-ups ranging from three to 4.5 metres and a selection of rotary Kemper headers from six metres to nine metres.
The Kemper maize headers are available as an option with automatic header control, and there is also the choice of automatic steering.
For those who desire whole crop harvesting, the Zurn Proficut 620 can also be specified. This is an extremely efficient header for silage that gives a low cut and clean stubble.
John Deere 6215R model
John Deere mid-range 6R tractors
Leading the way in the John Deere range of 6R tractors is the 6215R six-cylinder medium tractor.
This machine offers improved comfort for the operator, along with better manoeuvrability for more agile and efficient working patterns.
The 6215R also has an admirably long service interval of 750 hours, leading the industry in lower cost of ownership.
The new 6R tractors are powered by a 215hp 6.8 litre engine.
This power plant is a new unit from John Deere and also offers a power boost of 40hp to provide extra effort when needed most.
That power is available for use with either demanding transport work or PTO operations, and the system is managed via an intelligent power management application to optimise fuel use.
This fuel economy can be improved even further by specifying the renowned John Deere AutoPower continuously variable transmission system or choosing the new version of the DirectDrive double-clutch transmission.
The tractor is also fitted with the latest CommandARM, electronic joystick operation and a new CommandCenter instrument display
should be absolutely amazing, if you have never been before get yourself along, I have been going for decades |
