I recently was on jury service. For the second time.. My god it was boring. Met some decent fellow jurers though.

I done it aswell, we had extremely posh people who didnt understand how you go about a fight and couldnt get their heads around the full case, thank god me and a couple of others were down to earth and understood! the full case just had claim written all over it

I did a weeks worth. Bit if a disturbing case. Found it so hard not being able to discuss it with anyone and having it going round and round in your head all night. Was a good group on the jury which made it easier.

Yes all cases are different. Without going into details.. Its interesting how people think on the jury but all about presentation of cases. Its quite easy to see why with holding disclosure of important facts can influence but if everyone didnt want to do the jury service. Would there be Justice lol. Of course some groups are exempt. I beleive no limit to the times one can be chosen at random from the electoral register... I did get three free lunches from an old Italian restaurant..

Once every 3 years you can be summoned, once you serve they aren't supposed to call you again for 5 years

I was summoned 4 times in 5 years. Was summoned in October but was excused because of holiday. Must have gone to top of list as I was called again in December. Almost got away with it again as my name did not come out. A few of the jury were released so I got picked. Was a relief in the end I was finally picked. The lunches were great!

Sat on a jury once and it kinda shook my faith in the justice system. Some of the things I heard discussed when we were deliberating were incredible.

Having experienced both sides of the fence. Been at court with a family who's son was murdered. Then two years later

On the opposite side .its a horrible experience both sides hateing each other studying the jury's facial expressions . Praying the come to the right verdict. Not an easy position to be in. The jury room must be hell trying to reach a verdict.
