I see on some profiles that if you send a friend invite before messaging they will block you ....is it just me that thinks this is a bit extreme ??....its a REQUEST not an order so obv upto the person to accept or not ...i also think this is a good way too see if someone is interested in meeting/ chatting

I simply delete any friend requests if the person has not first of all sent me mail.
Once we mail back and forward and enjoy chatting that is when the friend request should be sent from either side, but for someone simply to send a friends request without even trying to start conversation!! I just delete the friend request and carry on as if no more had happened.

Get random friend requests every now n again so I'll accept just to check out any private pics......then delete em!

Yep!! We don't block but we do ignore if we haven't even spoken. I personally think it's a bit rude to want to see your pics without even saying nowt - I mean if we wanted that then they wouldn't be private lol  |

have learned most people send you a friend request just to see you private photos. what other reason is there to be friends. sadly some of my photos got stole and put on a fake profile. harley except new friend requests now. i send them to those who intrest me. |

We have face pics in our friends pics so don't accept random requests.
We ask that people don't just send us random request but those that do either failed to read our profile and just look at the pics or chose to ignore showing a bit of common curtesy.
We do say on our profile we block random requests so at the end of the day they can't moan about it when we do.
Everyone has their own preferences and this is ours.

but my real pet hate is someone who messages you.. chats for 2 mins then asks if they can send u a friend request ..when they dont have any pics on there profile
they clearly just want a perv lol
then they say ...its easier to see if your online ..

If it says on profile not too ask for random requests then i dont send them but sometime i do just send random ones lol...its upto them then too accept or not .. |

Would you class a total stranger in the street as your friend without even speaking to them? Nothing wrong with chatting first then ask to invite,but random invites are just people wanting to see pics. |

We find abit rude / weird to send random friend invites. We only accept ones from people that we are chatting to and hoping to meet. Any others just delete and forget about.  |

Hands up I'm guilty of sending friends invites before I've chatted /messaged folk,however my take on this is I'm letting the recipient decide whether they like enough to accept me, not the other way around. After all you do not get to view others private pics unless they accept you, so I can't see why folk take the huff etc.on this. |
