We were walking through George Square in Glasgow on Sunday and what a lovely place.
We heard some passing by call it Freedom Square??? I guess that is due to the memorials but what a lovely place and very clean, the sun also helps, Glasgow has some lovely places, why do the also call it Freedom Square? |

"It's where the independance rally's were all held during the referendum
And look how well that turned out."
Really ? Do you need to bring your bile to every post that mentions the referendum . The OP asked why called that and a reply was given.

the consequences of the referendum have been quite good for the SNP though.
(Have to agree with the other posters, you're constantly spouting the same shit) |

Do you really feel like you have 'won' "
How else would you describe an SNP landslide still living under a Tory Parliament.
Means that no-one has to incur the cost of a flitting down south! |

Just read this post again and I now feel a bit gullible;
I heard someone say freedom square and I thought it was due to the Cenotaph in George Square and memorials from the war.
Realistically this would be a fantastic name for the square simply due to the Cenotaph.
If people want to call it that for snp as well that's fine, but I would prefer the Cenotaph in George Square to be the reasoning behind it
