Possibility of an Aberdeen Social?

was wondering if anyone from Aberdeen would be interested in a large scale social meet? Would need deffinate responses, more than 10 to make it worth while before we actually start organising anything with any certainty.
While I'm at it, help with venues/possibility of accomodation would be of use?
Unlikely as it is to happen, would be good. |

For any social to be run fairly...they should be open to all members of the site...we have run many a happy social down here in fife...for upto 150 people...couples and singles...remember just because you may not play with single guys..other couples and single girls do...so the more of a mix the better the night...
just my pennies worth..

"why no single guys? if it's a social ?
just curious"
There'll end up being a huge bias in numbers if a number of single guys were to turn up...
Ok, maybe some, but limited to a certain ratio else it'll be a sausagefest. |

'tis a social, but would rather a healthy mix rather than having a heavy bias to one group. Some single guys would be better than none, but too many single guys might deter others. |

mmmmm.... Think you need to go and have a re-think of your social TBH.
Like many couples, we dont meet single guys, but are friendly with many in the chat rooms, and will have a good laugh with them at the social. Socials are not socials without a good and natural mix of all. Couples, fems, guys and TV's (and Fugys too)
You will probably find that, although the site has thousands of single guys on it, very few turn up to any of the socials.... generally through fear of been ignored and been alone.
What about the couples that do meet single guys...if they aint going to meet any at the social, may well put them off from attending too.
For a social to be a good, memorable event, you need at least 100 folk there... and TBH, Aberdeen aint the easiest place for folk to get to and as most the Scots membership is central belt, you will need all the support from all the membership you can get.

I helped organise a social in Aberdeen a while back, we had a great time and then we packed out the swingers club to capacity afterwards.
Even though it was a bit out of the way for everyone in the central belt, many still made the effort to attend.
I think perhaps people are feeling a little bit 'social fatigue' as there are still so many already organised plus the festive time of year will be on us before we know it (won't say the X word!)
Money for travel, sitters, hotels and outfits all come into the equation too.
Don't be disheartened but do appreciate people have a lot of expense coming up soon.
Plus, no social ever ever says no single guys, it's up to you as an organiser to perhaps balance the single guys/girls/couples. A social is a social is a social, open to all and fun for all.... the guys don't sleaze round the venue in a dirty mac hitting on every female... they are there to meet and greet too, which is what it's all about in every ones eyes.

Heather, I'd be happy to put them in touch with the venue I used, as I mentioned above.
It's own entrance, bar, disco etc. The rest is up to them.
Countrypair have claimed me for help with theirs lol! xxx |

Sorry, as a 'single' guy I have been to socials and feel it is unjust to set requirements with regards to single males. on the socials I have attended I have gone with the intention of having a laugh, a wee bit of flirt and tbh nothing else.. as my sexual life is my and the other person/s business. I do not wish everyone to know who I am with (if anyone) that night. Surely successful swinging is about making friends and the socials give everyone that environment, to exclude 'single' males sends out an unfair message that "single men are predatory idiots"... just my opinion and not a criticism. :D |

Thinking sometime in January, gives plenty of time for people to arrange specifics such as transport for those out of town, possible babysitting, hotel booking... |

January prob not a good time apart from the social that is already on you have to keep in mind the weather at that time of year, if anything like last winter folk won't travel even the locals. Having said that we would be interested in attending whenever you have it.... |
