We have been thinking lately that we need to find a new polite way to say no to people we don't want to meet, we normally go with "Thanks for the message but it's a no." but people take it badly, is it polite enough and straight to the point or could there be a better way? |

"I usually thank them for their message too and say not looking too met anyone new at the moment and wish them good luck "
doesnt that give the impression they have a chance in the future??? |

i say ' no thanks ' most say nothing some say ok but you always get the ones who question or get nasty so i dont think wat you say on here matters at times polite or not some will always take offence |

Maybe soften it slightly:
"Thanks for the message, but you're not what we're looking for, good luck and happy swinging"
But as has already been said some will react badly no matter what your reply is, in which case go with DLT's advice |

I think you're usual reply to requests is polite as it is.
If others take it the wrong way or get upset then it's their problem.
I personally admire people that take the time to respond to my requests. |

I'd say a polite reply saying "no thanks" is much better than the ignorance and message deletion and blocking that I've found to be the norm on here so far... |

I wouldn't call a message on here junk mail...
but, I guess it's just the way some people are.
But, thank you for taking the time to reply to my post... |

So now your saying your messages are junk mail, that's not very nice is it,
I put a thank you for you message but it's no thanks, |

Answer to the question, seems a descent enough answer
I have seen other forums about the same subject & there's one thing this 1 has in common with those, there are people commenting on it saying they reply a certain way but I know for a fact they do not reply that way or they don't reply at all or just delete.
I get 10 mails from males a day minimum asking to meet them & I say cheers but it's not for me thanks for the offer though! There are a few who don't seem to get the message & mail me 2/3 times a week & I just delete their messages, I don't block them becuase they won't learn if I do |

Most of the time I try to reply with a thanks but no thanks. However, I get a lot of mail from guys who don't fit with my preferences. I get fed up with this as my profile is clear. I will delete these messages, same as I would get rid of junk mail. Besides, Fab rules themselves say no reply is not deemed to be rude, it should be taken as a not interested. At the end of the day I'm here for my benefit so I'll do what suits me. |
