Hi.

Has anyone had any hands-on experience with the Sony Xperia M2? I don't mean something from Trusted Reviews, I mean you've actually used it.

If, so what's it like as a phone? What's it like with apps?

I doubt I'll ever afford my dream Z3, so this may be the next best affordable option.

Thank you in advance.

Mandy

My mate and his wife both had Sony phones and ditched them within 6 months as they had nothing but problems with them. It put me off Sony for phones forever

Sorry to go against the grain but... Own, using and and so far best smart phone I've had for under €120.

And personally I wouldn't spend a penny more when I can't actually see what the others of £200 + do that's better.

However, don't come back and give me any stick if you take my opinion and get one lol

Deals on the Z3 and Z3 compact will get better as the Z4 is due in the near future. Ive got the compact and its a cracking little phone. Had concerns before getting it as id had a sony phone in the past which would shut down on its own but have had no such problem with this latest 1

I have the z2. Got it as the camera is amazing. Relative cheap contract with 3.

Both my daughters have M2, I have Z3.

M2 every bit as capable to be honest. Z3 has waterproofing and whistles and bells that will never be used.

That said youngest daughter dropped M2 into the loo and it is still working so pretty well sealed anyway.

Was a Galaxy user before but felt that you were paying for flash you would never use. Xperia feel better quality and as annoying as Sony add ins are you can disable easily. Samsung not so. Plus Samsung started down the locked in accessory route.

*would sell left testicle for a Note 4 though

Re Sony phones, I think you'll find that only 'Z' models are in line for a Lollipop upgrade.

So that means that the 'M' will stay on whatever Android version it currently is.

I'll check but the E2 my son has got an upgrade yesterday. Not sure to what though.

tbh Lollipop not doing it for me yet.
