So there's probably a thousand posts similar to this but I should hopefully (depending on my shifts) be attending my first social in the next few weeks, I am a mixture of raw excitement but a bag of nerves just thinking about it!..
By talking to people etc it seems like a really good night out with plenty of socialising and meeting new people, this is what im after!
It's a bit scary the thought of going on your own and not knowing anyone, So any lads or lasses who fancy buddying up give me a shout! Lol.

Stop panicking 
The hardest bit is walking in. After that, you'll meet loads of people. Just don't be a shy wallflower. Get of your ass and go say hello.
If you're lucky, someone will start a show your face thread the week before so you will be able to know who some people look like. 
And relax, enjoy, and don't drink too much alcohol, staying soberish is much better  |

Once you've done your first social you will be dying to know when the next one is .
They are fun and a great way to get yourself know .
Everyone will make you feel very welcome and the hosts will make sure your okay and at ease .
just think of it as a big night out with a group of your best friends xx

I attended my first proper social by myself almost 3 years ago now I'm addicted and host them. Key is to be yourself . Can't go wrong . Chat and be respectful and you'll be fine . You're welcome to come along at any of the upcoming ones but lots of people do them so decide what suits you what type of night you want and go for it . Good luck im sure you'll be a hit with the ladies .

I was to scared to attend my first social so I hosted one, that way I had to go. Was a great wee night and got to meet so many people xx doing another west Lothian social in May and you'd be more than welcome xx |
