BBC can never get rid of him, too gear brings in too many _iewers & too much money, & top gear couldn't work without him, jezza is great anyway only reason my tv turns over to the BBC

Only watched it a few times but they will simply end up on another channel with a name change, the tv companies are not going to give up ratings figures like that..BBC's loss will be another Channels gain regardless if we like him or not money talks sadly.

Pompous prick always get the feeling he thinks most are below him.

Clarkson is a spot on host for the show and pure genius with this show which is now known & loved world wide due to him

As for the BBC they are ripping everyone off left right and centre, wait until the new scandal is released with regards to what is happening with our licence fee and yet everyone just accepts and says oh well, we better do as we are told.

Clarkson can walk away from BBC tomorrow with head held high and he can walk to any other broadcasting company world wide and get a job

I bet none of the ones who criticise him can do that

perhaps jealousy

Why is it when someone mentions they dont like a person always a reply of jealousy I don't like the wee junkie who lives up the road and breaks into houses to get money for his fix and I am not jealous of him either. I never watch top gear by choice either but my son always does so cant help seeing it sometimes and apart from the little guy Hammond I think the presenters are arrogant having met May I know this first hand and imagine Clarkson would be the same though I might be wrong there.

Doesn't Clarkson own a high percentage of the Top Gear brand ? I could be wrong but I think if he does go, he'll take it with him.

BBC is funded by tv licence money and from the petitions being signed, it looks like he'll be back in a week or 2.

I think he makes Top Gear what it is and most of the controversy he creates gets him even more attention.

Money talks if clarkson is fired from the bbc top gear will leave the bbc as may and Hammond won't sign new contacts, another tv station will sign them up. Bbc won't want too lose the show as its the top show.

Or I wonder if rating has dropped recently and as they say bad publicity is good publicity after all it's the bbc we are dealing with

I'm not talking about him punching a producer over a plate of chips. He has been in and out trouble for several years now because he cant help himself and constantly makes racist remarks. I'm boring? Says the guy who excuses racism because he likes cars.

Truth is you lack the intellect to debate, simply saying "i find his shows entertaining" is NOT a valid argument for excusing some of the disgusting terms used by Clarkson. Racist, xenophobic and mocking the poor/working class are constants from him but you like cars and he talks about cars so thats ok.

Guy Martin is class. I'm guessing you've saw the documentary about the Isle of Man TT he was featured in.

I like Clarkson though. James May was inter_iewed about the suspension and he pretty much said he doesn't agree with anything Clarkson says or does but he likes him. Can't see Hammond or Clarkson staying if Clarkson leaves.

Hope it gets sorted out soon. Sunday night TV is non-existent without Top Gear.

Not so long ago that people were in an uproar when it was allged BBC knew about certain celebraties indecent behavioi during the 80's and done nothing about it.

We wonder actually if he might be Bi-polar. Looking at what's gone on, his behaviour is a bit strange and has all the signs of manic behaviour.

You'd have thought his bosses would have known he is a bit erratic by now and told his assistants to be a bit careful and make allowances for it and not to get into confrontations with him because that's what Bi-polar people do. They get anxious and do things which are not very nice.

The fact he attacked a junior manager suggests that he was very inexperienced in dealing with this media chap who honestly exhibits all the Brilliance and then lows of someone that is afflicted with this mental illness. I might be wrong and sorry to Jeremy if I am but it just adds up.

Take out who the individual actually is...take out what and who he represents and your left with an employee who has allegedly assaulted another staff member.

If that same person has a previous discipline award against him and its still current (timeframe and final warning? then his current allege incident would be seen as 'gross misconduct'. We really shouldn't be having any conversation about this at all....dismissed, simple and as straight forward as that.

North Glasgow

You do not go to your work to be verbally abused and assaulted, his arrogance, perceived self importance, bullying and racist _iews will not be missed. Hope he is charged with assault and humbled in court......One punch that's all I would want......

As with all things in life there are two sides to every story , while the injured party will slink off into the background now , noone has asked what part he played in all of this- is he going to be in breach of contract now for allowing filming to run on for so long in breach of european working time directive and the lack of proper catering facilities being laid on . No doubt I'll get abused for not toeing the party line but I am entitled to my opinion and will be sad to see the end of Top Gear a programme that my boys and I have loved for years , no doubt it will resurface on 5 or Sky

"We wonder actually if he might be Bi-polar.

"

very interesting indeed
