as a percentage of the site, the socials attract very very little...

probably 1 or 2 % of the site

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

when you first joined the site you would have no idea that social events every existed (well i know i didnt )

Its a very small amount of people who do actually go on to have fun after a social event id say the biggest percentage would be new friendships made through socials but not all sexual .

I though the percentage was higher than that it seemed it was

Certainly seems there is a drinks night or a social every other weekend these days

Once saw a figure quoted by the site owners, that less than 3% of folk here use the forums,so from that 3% you will get a few that go to socials. So, in other words, its a very small percentage indeed (Mr)

to be fair, I just plucked those figues from thin air but I am sure I read only 1% of the site use the forums/chat rooms on a regular basis.

and I think once the social is posted, by the time the event comes there are a few have gone off site.

I think if someone's preferred approach was to search locally/wider for profile and make contact, the socials will have little impact

again, I think as I have never done that

New to all this.

Are socials suitable for single males? Or are they generally couples etc?

Difficult as a genuine single male to get chatting with people on here

I personally prefer to meet from the people you meet at the socials. It's saves valuable time seiving through the bad on here. People who attend are always friendly chatty and never a dull moment as well as having a good time xxx

Yeah chick that's a shame. I think as a single female for me personally it's the safest way. I hate meeting single guys alone I never feel safe doing it. The socials give me the chance to suss them out and make a decision. A lot of devious men on here x

For the sake of parity, women can be devious also. Whether they attend socials or not.

Being stuck in the back of beyond, it takes a lot of planning and is costly to travel to socials so i havent managed it yet. But ive met some lovely people without clubs, socials and parties. The site works in a lot of ways.

There isn't that many socials round my way. I go to Katy's lunches, and I've twice held a drinks night over the past few months, but that's really it.

Glasgow always seems to be jumping though!
