"Is this a problem on fab? And how do you spot one without a personal phone call?"
I got strung along by one in Edinburgh, spent a year messaging and finally agreed a meet. Complete no show and was suddenly blocked. If something doesn't seem right it usually isnt right. I had my doubts, niggling in the background, thinking this is maybe too good to be true. In the end I took a chance, hopped on the bus and wasted an evening probably being watched by said catfish. Messaged and was told they were running late, then blocked instantly. Lesson learned.
I'm now suspicious of non verified, especially if they've been on the site for over a year. |

You spent a whole year messaging? Ooft I would've given up after a few months.
In my 7 years of fab I've never once had a no show, think I'll count myself lucky on that one  |

I had suggested that several times but they "didn't have a webcam". Looking back on it I can see how naive I was. The chat went back and forth over such time as I work away for weeks on end and their rota was variable. Probably some fat fella getting his cyber kicks. |
