The post match commentary suggests we were a baw-hair away from being gubbed by what was little more than a second rate club side - albeit they represent 'the richest country in the world'. |

To be nearly beaten by a team 100 places below us- what can you say?
And even me, a mere woman, knows two yellow cards means you're off the park so how come the ref doesn't? |

tHE MANAGER WILL GET FOUND OUT. He picked the wrong teams for the last two matches and we have been lucky to get four points. The way he celebrated at full time was embarresing. |

People take the pee out of England, how the hell can they when Scotland nearly got beaten by a country with less people in it than attended at Hamden? Total joke, Scotland as a country would struggle to stay in the English 2nd division !! |

Is the last game away to world champs Spain? no doubt we'll be down to 10 men and only needing to win by 2 if the other game goes our way
mind you..that Craig Levein is quite nice lol |

"a think they should give up they seem to struggle against the small nations
but were very lucky last night
levines not the man for the job"
Mourinhio would struggle to get a decent performance from current Scotland crop. Once we get the SPL right we might then start to 'blood' our youngsters instead of Joey Foreigner |

i dont agree, look at when watty or alex were in charge. mostly the same players and they got a lot better out of them. but levin for me now is not the man for the job. give it to strachan when he eventualy gets sacked cause it will come end of the season.
he picked the wrong players for me. why no maloney? he could have walked past half that team last night and better free kicks than robson who i thought played well.
for me, the 1 thing wrong and why we have been so bad last 2 games is cause levin brought in kenny black to help. trust me as an airdrie fan i know how bad an effect he has on teams.
we wont qualify now i think, results will get worse. |

Black isn't the reason as trust me his role is minimal, and more for keeping tabs on the English based players - as I know him very well.
As for Strachan - emmmmm no thanks. |

What I don't understand is how come professional players paid tons of money, can come out and play SO badly. Everyone has an off day but 11, all at once?

The problem is there is no money in the game in Scotland.
ALL our clubs are facing bankruptcy an there is no real international class player out there.
During the 70's especially 1974 we sent a team to the World Cup finals, something like 7 of the starting 11 played for the same club (Leeds Utd) who were the top club in England at the time.
Can you imagine Chelsea or Man U fielding a team of 7 Scots today.
Yes we are a small nation with a piss poor Football League, but theplayers we have DO only turn out for the £200 appearance cash.
A team made up from the Central Junior League would probably have turned in a better performance a there is more heart in their game.
The recent game showed players up that were not interested.
Wee Fanny should never play again, he is like a wee kid in a playground, too ball greedy and always gives it away,
McManus gave away the goal, gave the player too much room and time to take his shot, Can you imagine McLeish, Miller, McQueen, Holton, Gough, Hendry etc allowing that, they woukld have rushed the guy and shut him down.
Boyd is a fat lazy bastard, Brown is also a waste of space.
Miller can score goals if he is fed the ball into the box, Robson and co were happy to shoot from 30yds out.
Yes it was only when Robson and Morrison came on that Scotland looked like a team but they need to feed the stikers decent balls or we are not going to score goals.
If I was Levein I would leave out Boyd and Fanny in future, there are better stike partners than them for Kenny Miller.
We still believe we have the likes of Dalglish, Souness, Joran etc playing for us and go in with that mentality and fall way short.
The English think they have another 1966 team every time they take the park and yes, we do all laugh our arses off when they get gubbed.
Consider this, the cash the Old Firm receive every year from TV is the same as clubs in the English 2nd Division as that is how we are treated byt the FA. |

IChing - Faddy and Boyd will do well to get in to squad let alone play in next few games, especially Boyd so your defo right there.
The fact that very little money in the game may be the blessing in disguise as might allow the youth to come through at more clubs than just your accies, mfc etc..... rather than flooding with average overseas merchants. |

Totally agree. There is an amazing wealth of youngsters coming through and we need to turn to them rather than the over paid trype that the manager seems to rely on every game.
I think Celtic are going to pay heavily this season for spending so much on foreigners who lets face it are hardly household names.
Would love to see the Old Firm split apart this year from a club like Motherwell or Inverness etc.
