Finally got to see it today and now on nightshift bored so I thought I'd find out who's got an opinion on it.
As a movie I liked it, not what the book intended and didn't like the way the film ended prefered the books ending massively.

book was better but I enjoyed the movie.
however it bugged me about halfway through that Thorin seemed to go madder only when in close contact to Bilbo and the ring. cant tell if this was purposeful to imply the ring made him act worse than he would have done. or if it was simply coincidental that the madness wears off almost immediately after Bilbo is out of sight. also was rather gutted old Balin didn't get his final scene at the end the book which should occur just before he gets killed in moria |
