So what would you all make to make you feel nice and cosy as it snows outside?

I have made for dinner tonight a homemade lentil and bacon broth soup, followed by a sausage and sweet potato casserole

Have a roast meal on Sunday (Lamb or Pork) then Stovies on Monday with the left overs

This is real comfort food and drives away the winter blues.

I made a pot of soup! Nothing better on a cold day!

I can remember my Gran used to make soup with a big lump of bone in it, don't know what it added but it tasted great coming in from school on a cold day!

I only know how to make a handful of things, but I do love making a nice thick broth in the winter. Bit it'll just be pasta with bacon & mushroom tonight as a quickie after the gym

I am just about to find out what the Finnish people serve up on a cold winters night. But by the looks of my choice I have Italian, Tex Mex, Tapas or Sushi. What happened to Reindeer then?

I'm on diet so tonight I've had meats in a cheese sauce made with double cream, and sugar free jelly and double cream.

Atkins diet rules! Where else can you have a fry up for brekkie, cheese as a snack and double cream in a diet?

This is pretty much perfect for a Winter's night. I must have been feeling a bit Spring/Summer like tonight - Pasta with Pesto, Crayfish tails and Mushrooms - and a rather nice bottle of wine! Colder weekend suggests Venison Sausages, Mash and beans - fantastic!
