"Yes im same booked for Dundee Sunday. "

Have you been given the address yet mate? I got an address today but when I put it into Google it doesn't show on Google maps......

I was supposed to go to parties on the 13th and 20th which got cancelled late on due to family emergency and gave it the benefit of the doubt.

There are a few other things I have spotted that made me unsure but I didn't want to say in case I was over analysing things.

Admin don't delete peoples mails....if the person has left the site the mails may go with them now.

If the profile is still on here please report it....it is probably wise not to hand over any money for parties before you get there.

I read some of the veris and I kinda half thought these seem too good to be true references to drop dead gorgeous girls sucking and fucking everywhere etc I also noticed a lot of the folk who verified hadn't been online for months. Now, did anyone actually ever actually meet them, Skype or speak to them on the phone? Surely this would have been advisable before handing over any cash? Can anyone here actually say they've been to one of these parties? Boils my piss these pricks spoiling it for everyone

This.

Id noticed a female profile in same town as me that had loads of veris but they all looked too perfect. "She" was updating that she was looking for someone to escort her there tonight but also had other random meets up. All a bit suspicious but I didnt think much of it.

Clearly quite a clever longer term scam has been played here sadly.

We were part of the group that turned up to the non-existent address in Edinburgh last night. We fully accept we took a risk in handing over cash to these con artists and it wasn't a huge amount (for us anyway) but the fact they potentially have invited 50 odd people to this and about 5 other future parties, means this is not small fraud - they could have managed to get about 10 grand in all. And they have been on the site for a year - so have they managed this before and Fab haven't done anything?! It would not surprise me, as I have contacted Fab before after realising someone (who was supposedly verified) was using a friend's pics. Fab never replied and it appears never even blocked said person. Yes, last night PParty initially hid themselves, so they could still see what we were doing, I’m guessing, then it looked like they deleted their profile. Then we had their supposed verifications cached and all of a sudden those profiles started disappearing too. Fab have to address this issue as a matter of urgency, if only to change their site requirements so you can only join if photo verified (it turns out a lot of Pparty's amazing verifications, which seem to have blindsided some of us, were not photo verified). We said in our complaint to Fab that we will wait 48 hours for a response, and then we are going to the police. I imagine these sick con artists have thought attacking people with such a private side to their lives, means we won't stand up and complain, but I am far too angry to care - these people have to be stopped. If you have been affected by this and are happy to support us in taking this further, please get in touch ASAP. As some of us have already discussed, we should have no issues getting our money back anyway, and hopefully so many people complaining about the same account (hopefully we all have the same details - please share this info if you have it - I will when my Mr wakes up as it’s his bank account we paid from) will red flag them anyway. Sadly though, it is the banks that will pay us back not the bastards who have stolen our money and are probably on a fantastic holiday in the sun somewhere right now! Big love to everyone and lets all try and keep this a lovely genuine and caring place to be xx

Also, out of interest...has anyone who has publicly complained about this situ, been contacted by a fab member that seemed a bit suspicious? As soon as we put our first angry status up last night, we were contacted by a seemingly well-meaning fabber advising us to remove the post etc but they had only joined yesterday. They may well have been genuine but it set alarm bells ringing a little that these pricks may have set up another profile (it does all seem very elaborately thought out after all). It may be nothing, but if anyone else experienced something similar it would be good to hear about.

no point in waitingon fab doing anything fab hasnt done anything wrong sorry to say this but the blame lies at all those who were duped by this profile read what fab say when you leave a veri for someone your best recourse Iis to persue these idiots through the money trail the banks probably will pay you back dependant on a few circumatances (if sent through paypal as a gift probably nothing can be done by the banks) but you would have a long standing email addy that is attached to a bank that in turn is attached to an address perhaps make a joint complaint of fraud to the police there is many things you can do now fab can do nothing really

Hi there. Yes, I know Fab can't do anything in this case, but I think they should acknowledge that their site is allowing such things to go on and set up better protection such as the previously mentioned enforced photo verification. An acknowledgement of the situation is all I expect from them. It is the bank and the police that I will be dealing with mainly. But also I would like to know that Fab have received a heads up before the police contact them. As I say, we went into this fully knowing that we could lose our money, but hey, it was only a few quid. It is the apparent scale of this scam that is making me want to do something and to stop it happening again. Again, I would like to know how PParty have been on Fab for a year and either only just done this scam, or more worryingly got away with it in the past.

well, they should be able to sort a refund out as its a fraudalent transaction. As I said before though, sadly its the banks that will reimburse us not the conning bastards that stole the money in the first place! I do def. think the police is a worthwhile avenue, even if its going to be a little embarrassing to explain!

I understand your anger but photo verification would be easy to fake so solves little many dont want to publish their pics let alone a face pic with a swingers site and guilt card attached lol fab have many warnings about this manner of deception if someone on the main st offered you a golden ticket to thw ritz you would be dubious and take precautions and be certain why is fab any diffrent I have been approched over the yrs by many so called party organisers never bit hopefully yourselves and others can join together and bring the full weight of the law down on them hell who knows you all get yourmoney back rent your own house hall and make your own party good luck

Firstly I (and I am sure others) don't need someone coming on here lecturing us about "learning our lesson" and "why pay for a party on a swingers site" we are grown adults and all able to make our own decisions in life so please spare your lectures for someone else.

Secondly as I said in one of my very first posts on here I had suspicion about their "verifications" which mostly seemed to be created 5-6 months ago, often logging in only once to leave a verification for another person who had also "attended" a party. It is a very clearly thought out long term elaborate scam more than likely pin pointed for Christmas when they can generate the most money and pay for their own Christmas!

Thirdly, I would like to go to the police but that really isn't an option for me for reasons I do not want to go into on a forum and if I can assist in any way by passing on emails etc then please get in touch.

Lastly Fab admin on here have conducted themselves very strangely. Last night they wiped all trace of conversation from the Pussy Party account including my sent emails and read emails, why do this? They also wiped all the accounts Pussy Party used for their verifications and again all trace of communication. It is like they are wanting to hide their head in the sand and pretend it has never happened. There is something just not right about it all.

Let’s not get unfriendly. I need my faith restored in this site! I do get what was being said about lecturing but maybe that was too strong a word. I guess what was meant is that, as I have said repeatedly, there is no need to state the obvious that we were at fault. i think we all went into this knowing there was an element of risk. I think we all fully accept our responsibility for those actions, as yes, we are all adults. The matter in hand however, is that this fraud is not small, it appears to be on a large scale and it therefore should be taken to the police. These may be people carrying out all sorts of fraud on other websites, I cannot sit by and leave it as it is. Let’s not let nasty criminals like these people make us fall out with each other though xx

Admin don't delete profiles, they must have deleted their own profiles when the plan came together for them....the way things work now is mails from deleted profiles go too.

It looks like they played a waiting game and had a few profiles working together, unless they were reported to Admin as suspect then they would be under Admins radar.

I am guessing all people conned have informed the police? The more people do it the better. They will obviously get in touch with Admin so they can help with any information they may have. There is also an online Fraud site called "Action fraud" that you can contact for issues like this.

If you are going to report, it needs to be 'co-ordinated'. Pointless you all going to your local plod shop individually as they wont be interested.

I would suggest that if one person acts as a main contact to the police, once reported, pass on the crime reference number and officers name/division to the others so that they can report through their own local station - it will then get passed onto the first officer. This way, many instances of a small fraud will get grouped together as a large fraud and will get more police time.

You cant blame the site for this, you cant blame yourselves either. Con artists are very good at their 'job'. They tell you what you want to hear to make the scam more plausible. They are playing the scam on the basis that no one, or few will be prepared to go to the police. On the face of it, its the perfect scam isnt it? A crime that no one wants to report.

Get one over on them, get together and report it.

They didn't think this through well did they....unless they are hoping people wont report it because it is a swinging site.

Please all report it, otherwise they get away with it to do it again

Great. As I said it would be interesting to share the bank details to see if they're the same. I'm waiting on.my other half getting the ones we had and then I'll share. I will contact the police this afternoon and let them know people have various bits of info on them - guessing the crime no and contact details I get from them, will mean you can contact them directly with this info x

Really hope every person gets there money back. Con artists are clever people no doubt ran loads of scams. Just ruins it for a lot of people. However don't let the scumbags win. Report and track them down. Terrible .

Seems to have been a very elaborate scam. We received invitation from them but felt there was something just not ringing true. Anyone who has email address, names etc should share with anyone else who has been scammed.

They probably have another profile which they will be using to _iew all the complaints and sniggering in the background.

Hey there folks. My man, V has kindly offered to take over the responsibility of contacting the police etc from me...more than happy to not have to deal with that embarrassment! So he'll keep you updated on here from here on in. Amy xx

Just a wee word of caution here, with these con men whoever they were making away with a sizeable amount of money it may be that the press will see it as a newsworthy story so anyone posting on this thread may like to check their privacy settings regards pics etc. Not wanting to come across as scaremongering just a note of caution

@View

Noted, but judging from Fab's T's and C's it seems like we will have to police ourselves. If they read this entire thread and still delete that then that is fucked up!

We're just trying to gather the relevant info to take to the relevant authorities and this is the quickest route. We're doing Fab a favour. Almost! :/

I think gather a list of those you know and have said they have been scammed and pass info that way....

Sometimes things can be made too public and get into the wrong hands and made even more public

I already think they have another two profiles on here and I have reported them both to admin and unsurprisingly nothing. Really don't have any faith in the people who run this site, I don't think they actually give a monkeys about this whole incident if I am being honest.

Can I suggest that you take this off forum/off site, maybe set up a group 'Whats app' chat or group email thread or similar and then once done ask the mods to remove the thread, or at least to remove some parts of it, leaving enough to warn others in the future.

Xxxy thanks for taking the lead in this. Yes, that was the account I was given.

Frankly, I don't see how giving out the details of a scammer's account is a piece of personal data we should even think about protecting. Doubtless the account has been set up with a fake id and had the cash cleaned out already. If this is actually their account they're not nearly as bright as they think they are.

Given the money was paid by transfer the only likelihood of getting money back is if your bank wants to cover it up. Police have passed this onto banks almost completely to keep crime figures down and banks generally just pay out to help keep us thinking our money is secure with them.

True, in this case we were guilty of failing to be suspicious enough but this is the weakness of the verification system and the administration decision to not require a more robust identity check when we register. And that last likely encouraged some of us to select the site, so we can't really complain.

Sorry, but why should we take this offsite? It happened here.

BTW, the bank used for the account is in Chelmsford.

Don't put those personal details onto the forum please.

The people that need the information is the police only.

Hey all, its Amy back again...I was the one in the end that had to do the embarrassing phone call to the police!

Right I called 101 and asked to speak to someone regarding online fraud. They took details such as the party meet info, payments and yes, the website name (ahem).

I have a crime incident number - incident 409 28/12/14 - and am waiting for an officer to call me back to collect further details.

HOWEVER apparently you can not use this ref. number. Anyone who wants to report this/and get a crime ref. number to use when speaking to the bank, has to make their own report to the police (maybe give my crime ref number as a link up though).

I understand some people may be embarrassed by doing this, but it wasn't all that bad and the police officer I spoke to said he would be really keen to gather any more info possible on this matter, esp. those who have the personal email address of the scammers.

I just said it was a social site we were on and the money we paid was for food and drink. The only slightly cringy bit was having to give the website name!

Please please do contact the police though, as I think they feel this is worth pursuing and of course, a crime ref. number will help with any refund you may and try and get from the bank.

Will update you if my call back from the police offers up anymore info.

Because just as you and I can read all this, so can the perpetrators and any others looking to stir shite.

If you think people connected are still on the site then report with as much information as to why on the report and let Admin take a look...and I know it is frustrating to be fleeced.....but I really don't think it is fair for people to be blaming the site for you handing money over to scammers.

If you do as asked and report to the proper authorities Admin will help the police all they can.

I have done that already and nothing has happened. I notice they have removed the posts with the bank details yet they say nothing about this whole episode? Very strange behaviour for people who run the site.

And what about any other unsuspecting victims?

Its entirely likely that the perpetrators are reading this too via other fake profiles - but that doesn't mean we can't post all the relevant info on here to warn folk. There will doubtless be others who have been scammed who don't want to get too involved for their own personal reasons...

They'll probably remove the post with the crime ref number too!

For the people involved they will know them anyway so there really isn't any need to share them surely....share them with the relevant authorities who will need them.

I advised what you should be doing and how Admin will help if they can when the police contact them....I am not sure what else you actually want.
