Just a wee curious question is it generally the same pple who go to all the socials ? And do.you think.there aimed more at single and married couples more than married ppl who are on fab without partners consent ...seen as big xmas social plus drinks night so close it must be hard for married ppl to get away to big events .... |

No its not always the same people who attend.
And there is always a good mix of singles and couples attending.
As for married people well i guess only they can answer that.
But there are socials and drinks nights organised all through the year so I guess for those who are married and can't attend at this time of Year there are plenty of others, for them to attend |

I'd say yes
The majority of the same people go to certain socials but there are new folk joining all the time so you do get some different single/ cpls attending
As for being married but can't get away over the festive season
That's tough luck |

"Ok thanks for the replys big socials out the question for certain married situations" No one has said that
It's up to the married people whether they choose to attend or not that has nothing to do with the people organising socials. |

Think it's the because certain socials are out if bounds for married folk playing away not because they are not invited it's more because they can't sneek away
It's the individual's problem not the social organisers |

Also curious about this.... if you want to attend a social must you meet the organisers own personal criteria, ie you cant message them about it due to their filter etc? So might be exclusive to some? |

The way I read it was because some socials are Xmas or valentines it's hard for married folk playing away to get an excuse to get away from partners
Sorry if I'm wrong
But there are socials just for the hell if it and not on special occasions |

I would agree that certain people who arrange socials have certain groups that always attend....which could be friends , people from that area, etc etc ....lots of reasons.... But lately a lot more new people have been going along to socials which is a great thing to see....it makes socials fresher rather than same old.
As for being hard to attend for people in certain situations then yes....but that's life I suppose.

To be fair a lot of the bigger socials are arranged around certain festive times such as valentines, Easter , Halloween, Xmas and so on.....
Drinks nights tend to be inbetween and sometimes on festive periods also...those are your best bets.
There's also some lunch events also....Fife and Dundee so far.
I think sometimes you just gotta put yourself out there even it it does seem the same people go...you may be surprised ....also please remember there's members on the site who don't put there names down publicly that attend socials who like to be more discrete. |

We like just plodding along to wee drinks nights or socials in different areas, Edinburgh & Glasgow.
You see some of the same faces but there's always new people to talk to & everyone we've spoken to have been lovely.
Lots of just for the hell of it nights happen which are fun, just keep a look out on the forum.

It doesn't matter if you are single married or other, socials are for everyone, new people are always welcome , big socials ie valentine Christmas etc are arranged at the organisers choosing, I would not wish to organise an event, and take my hat off to people who do , the big Christmas social this year was two weeks ago, I didn't have a problem with this interfering with family as it was early enough, but everyone is different.
People work hard to organise events, they do not appeal to everyone but everyone is welcome xxx |

Don't be!
The Xmas one was my first and I can honestly say it was great!
Just lots of like minded, nice friendly people all out for a laugh.
It was a bit intimidating, and daunting, but once there, great!
Don't build it up in your head before hand as anything but a great night out.
You'll love it!

We really would like to make some friends on here as well as have some fun...we've played plenty of times before without any nerves whatsoever, strange that the thought of a night out can make us feel nervous
