Labour's new branch leadership - a gift to the SNP

Jump to: Newest in thread

Edinburgh

From a puddle of no-talent no-hopers, labour's Scottish branch office (Lamentable's description) has presented the SNP with an early xmas gift: London-based spud Murphy as branch leader and unelected list MSP kez the downmarket dug as his number two.

The chancees of labour's electoral annihilation in Scotland next May have just increased.

Trebles all round. Slainte mhath!

The labour mentalists - sorry, activists - are absolutely obsessed by Salmond and the SNP.

They are incapable of thinking of the issue of self-determination in any normal, rational terms - just talk about Salmond and the SNP, disengage whatever brain there may be and go for it.

How about a rendition of the red flag, just for auld lang syne.

There are those who emigrated after the disappointing referendum result, but the rest will continue to campaign until we regain our independence, so disgracefully sold out by a handful of self-serving rogues.

Labour party politicians = successors to those sell-out parliamentarians and landowners, betrayers of their own people.

We carry the stigma of being the only nation in the world to vote against its own independence. Labour has a prominent and dishonourable role in that shameful campaign.

Next time, they will be too insignificant to swing the vote for the union.

No, that is not true, and you know it.

The 55% is made up of tories, red tories, libdems and people of no party affiliation; only labour die-hards think of independence in purely party political and self-interested terms

Murphy won the contest with 55.77% of the vote under the party's electoral college system, in which Scottish Labour MPs, MEPs and MSPs, party members and unions and affiliated organisations each get a say in the outcome.

Deluded...take a good look in the mirror. The 45% accept the vote but will campaign to change the figures at the next vote, so don't distort the truth. If you are a labour activist that will be going against the grain, but please try.

How you have the cheek to talk in terms of "denying a democratic vote" ..... are you aware of how labour and their tory unionist pals overturned the democratic voice of the majority with their first referendum fix? Labour is not interested in democracy, except as a vehicle for gaining power. They are beyond contempt.

Curran was on the panel of the last Big Debate before the vote. I called her to account for labour's anti-democratic record against the people of Scotland and the disgusting 40% fix of the first referendum. She didn't like it one bit, but one of her supporters came back with the usual labour lie that the SNP voting to bring down the doomed Callaghan regime was in effect voting to bring in Thatcher.

What lies they tell themselves and then adopt as reality!

" She wasn't elected. She was appointed.

I understand you don't like the facts but they are chiels that winna ding.

Appointed by whom? Please enlighten us..... wait, I'll alert the media. Breaking news due from planet _nny.

As for facts, you are indeed a stranger to the term - and virtually everyone on this board knows THAT to be a fact.

Appointed by Eck, the guy who's selling his worldly goods at a car boot sale today.

Meanwhile murphy curren et al are running up millions in expences

And the £65,000?"

Offset that against all the above Onny then come back with a reasonable argument when it comes to expenses.
