ingrown hair

Ok. How embarrassing. Now that's out the way, I've at least one ingrown hair the most intimate of areas.

To be frank it's gotten out of hand. Any ideas? I've tried tweezers, exfoliating, drawing it out.

Help!

What a way to announce yourself on fab.

exfoliate and use a clean needle sterilised with hot water to unblock the hair duct.

Or you could do what the Romans do and go to the doctors.

A work colleague of mine had one just above his exit chute. It got bad enough that he had to undergo a surgical procedure to sort it.

Buy some magnesium sulphate to draw it up to the surface if its too deep to pierce and pop with a sterile pin.

Is it the result of poor shaving technique? Heard you can get it from shaving in the wrong direction but never been sure if just an urban myth

Sounds like something you could pick up from a toilet seat....

Been shaving there for over ten years no hassle. Now had two ingrown hairs in the last three months in roughly the same spot.

Well sounds like a quick visit to the doc might be in order, if it gets infected you'll probably need antibiotics

but this has to be used very sparingly, but it will work.

Ingrown hairs are caused when the hair follicle is blocked with dead skin ans sebum causing the hair to grow in and not up. The best way is to exfloiate to clean the area and sterile tweezers. If thats to sore its infected and will need a gp. It will come out eventually. Just keep it clean and sweat free tp avoid in future x

This doesn't sound like a simple ingrowing hair! Am I right in assuming it's in the natal cleft ( ie ass crack)? If so get along to your doctor and get it checked out, it could be the start of a pilonidal sinus as it's happened a couple of times in the same area. These things are much easier to sort out before they get huge and out of hand.

had a pilonidal sinus and ignored it. Had to have 2 seperate operations spending a total of 2 weeks in hospital and 10 weeks off work. Would defo get to your gp mate.

Thanks for all the advice, and support, glad to hear I'm not alone lol.

And no its not in the ass crack but right at the side of my old tallywhacker - word of the day folks.

Trip to the gp it is then, great twice in month. First was an excruciating baw, turned out to be twisted.

He's gonna think I fancy him at this rate

Ouch at the twisty!

Need to exfoliate regularly to slough off the dead skin and prevent it happening again.
