Was really jealous of a few of my mates who went and watched The Who at the Hydro at the weekend! I would have loved to have went but tickets were like rocking horse shit!
Would you class yourself as a Mod or a Rocker? |

Never liked scooters, I am a biker
1977 as the UK was caught between The Jam. The Who and the Sex Pistols rewriting the 60's Mods vs Gene Vincent style Rock 'n Roll bikers and the oncoming Disco era
I was more your hairy arsed denim/leather clad stoned out my face metal head .
No Who or Jam or whatever for us " The Boys Are Back inTown" was our anthem and bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zep, Purple, Lizzy, Maiden, AC/DC etc played on the juke box in Rossi's cafe
If you live in or know Kirky that is roughly where Bar Bliss is now
Nah metal heads rule

I am a died in the wool rocker. I love my bikes and getting on my leathers before heading off for a blast.
I'm afraid a Parka and winkle pickers along with a Vespa really doesn't do anything for me |

I raced motorbikes and still do now and again, I had Lambretta's at the same time and still have a couple, I dressed as a skinhead which turned a few heads when I was riding one of the bikes
Thinking back being a skinhead was not thought of in the way as being a skinhead would these days, I'm guessing little has changed except for media perceptions. |

Mods all the way!!!! Til the day I die I was at the hydro last weekend its the 3rd time I've saw the who and each time is amazing ,shame the ox isn't there now though he was a legend... I'd prob say I'm more northern soul now though, never without a fred perry on(and I mean never) and love my parka to this day ,mods we have style ... I am not immune to rock music though being a guitarist it just truly grows on you so respect to all music is the blood of life style is the way individuality |
