"There's alot of porn banne in the uk but not in Scotland coz we have different laws, so I'd bet these are still aloud in Scotland "
Nope, Scottish law cannot contradict UK law unless it's a devolved power. |

Well I'm going to tell you anyway lol. Scottish law cannot contradict UK law, unless it's a devolved matter. It's part of the act that created the Scottish parliament.
So it's either not as illegal as you're being lead to believe or illegal in Scotland too. |

So it's been agreed by both governments but only one has made it illegal? That doesn't seem quite right, even for the government of the UK.
That would also mean the Scottish government have went specifically out of it's way to seek the necessary power, to change something that it already agreed with? |

Ok I'm kinda done with this seen as a know a was atleast half right on this, but m8 even though we are "cough" "giggle" united "laugh" we are still seperate country's there are some different rules & laws in all four country's of the "laugh" United Kingdom, look it up, as ma sarcastic prick of a father would say it's common knowledge, I knew these things when I was a teenager. They may not be major rules & or laws but there r seperate ones, just because England decides to make something illegal doesnt mean every other country has to, |

I never said there wasn't such a thing as Scots law. I said it can't contradict UK law UNLESS it is a devolved power. The laws on homosexual marriage, where devolved.
Video/film censorship is carried out by the BBFC who's statutory authority extends to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. As covered by the
Video Recording Act 2010.
This means it is not a devolved power and UK law supersedes any acts passed by the devolved governments of the individual home nations. |

Yes there is. That's why it's the UK parliament they vote and pass laws that effect the whole of the uk, not just England. There is no such thing as English law as such, apart from common law, which isn't statutory. |
